Inglis Millennium Form Guide & Tips
Accession ($3) – BET NOW
The current favourite but he is drifting in the market. Trained by Chris Waller, the two-time winner comes into this with the best form but we’re unsure what run he’ll get after drawing barrier 14.
Hugh Bowman is going to have a tough task finding any cover from that wide out and that could put pay to his chances. That being said, he’s a quality type and a win wouldn’t surprise.
Dawn Passage (Best Bet – $3.10) – BET NOW
Couldn’t have been any more impressive on debut when winning by 3.3 lengths at Randwick and that form should stack up beautifully for this.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained son of Dawn Approach didn’t have much support on debut as a $8.50 chance but he has been steadily-backed for this.
Drawn to get a nice passage in the race, the two-year-old looks well-placed to win.
Castelvecchio ($21) – BET NOW
Caused a big upset on debut at Canterbury when scoring at odds of $61. The form in behind him hasn’t stacked up, however, and this looks like a much harder race.
$21 and those odds are likely to drift.
Pandano (Best Each Way – $15) – BET NOW
Impressive debut win at Newcastle and despite facing a steep rise in class, he looks to have a nice future ahead of him.
The son of Dundeel was a dual trial winner prior to winning on debut and seeing that no horse has ever finished in front of him, he must be respected.
Just needs to run a slightly quicker time to go close.
Soami ($71) – BET NOW
Fourth on debut at Gosford and that form isn’t going to cut it for this. Bred to want more time and distance.
Espaaniyah ($14) – BET NOW
Scored nicely on debut when winning by two lengths at Moonee Valley but she quickly regressed when running eighth at Randwick last start.
She did have some excuses when running 7.3 lengths behind Dawn Passage but that run was too bad to overlook. She would need to run up to her debut effort to push them close in this.
Biscara (Best Roughie – $17) – BET NOW
Yet to win from three starts but the Lindsay Park-trained filly has improvement to come and she could run well at each-way odds.
The daughter of Rubick is bred to sprint and although beaten by the likes of Champagne Boom, Espaaniyah and Catch Me, she’s only going to get stronger with time which bodes well for this.
Include in selections at her current odds.
Blazing Miss ($15) – BET NOW
Has been around the mark in four starts to date, placing in three. The filly by Sizzling ran a close third last time out at Rosehill and if she can improve by a length, she could test a few of these.
Looks a good chance to run in the money at nice odds.
Avon River ($20) – BET NOW
4.8 lengths behind Accession two back and she didn’t improve last start when running fifth at Rosehill. That did come behind a nice type in Amercement but she needs to lift here.
The stable has a good opinion of the Fastnet Rock filly but we can’t have her in the mix given her current form.
Salome ($21) – BET NOW
Hasn’t done much from three starts and that’s unlikely to change here. Looks well-held and we’re surprised that she’s not longer in the betting.
Pretty Brazen ($15) – BET NOW
Only 2.4 lengths behind Catch Me last start and that form looks decent for this. She’s only going to strengthen up being by Brazen Beau and we wouldn’t rule out her chances.
Dropping in weight helps and she could be a real firmer come race day.
My Fire Phoenix ($19) – BET NOW
Won well enough on debut to suggest she could win at the city level but she needs to find five lengths to beat Dawn Passage based on her most recent effort.
That could be too much to make up on this occasion.
Lady Naturaliste ($26) – BET NOW
Form doesn’t bode well coming into this, despite placing in two of her three starts. She hasn’t faced much in the way of opposition and we would be surprised to see her fighting out the finish.
My Sweet Fish ($61) – BET NOW
On debut after winning a trial and it would be some story to win a $2 million race on debut. Watch with interest as her odds have trimmed in from $81 to $61.
