Ipswich free tips & form
Race 1. (12:02) River 94.9FM Maiden (1200m)
#3 – Go Getter – Bet Now
Go Getter shouldn’t take long to break maiden grades and having Jeff Lloyd in the saddle is going to help his chances.
The three-year-old son of Albrecht was a touch disappointing last time out at Doomben but his debut performance when running second at Ipswich was good.
Drawing barrier three suits and it should be right around the mark.
Race 2. (12:37) Sirromet Maiden (1200m)
#7 – Express Fantasy – Bet Now
Express Fantasy comes into this with two trial wins and there should be plenty of money come on race day.
The three-year-old filly by Shamexpress was a trial winner at Doomben on a soft track and having that experience in these conditions should be ideal.
She doesn’t have race day experience but drawing a good barrier should see her find the rail and kick nicely.
Race 3. (13:12) Schweppes C2 Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Ziemba – Bet Now
Ziemba was a quality winner on debut at Doomben and that form should be good for this grade.
The Anderson/Heathcote Racing-trained two-year-old scored by 2.3 lengths and that backed up some solid trial form, which included a trial win at Doomben.
This is his first run at Ipswich but that shouldn’t affect this progressive type.
Race 4. (13:47) Carlton Mid Maiden (1680m)
#5 – Construe – Bet Now
Construe has improved with every run this campaign and comes into this with a last-start placing at Doomben.
The three-year-old filly has placed twice from eight starts and although her form to last start wasn’t good, she’s heading in the right direction.
Robbie Fradd is the right jockey to have in the saddle and she carries only 55.5kg on her back.
Race 5. (14:22) Ray White Ipswich C2 (1680m)
#4 – Great Powers – Bet Now
Great Powers scored a good win in April at Sunshine Coast and although she hasn’t won since, she has gone well on multiple occasions.
Her most recent effort came at Doomben when fourth behind some nice types and that form lines up well for this grade.
There’s not much to this field and she could take advantage.
Race 6. (14:57) Whittington @ Grandview BM70 (1350m)
#3 – Polemic – Bet Now
Polemic is nearing a win after running on well enough for fourth at Gold Coast last time out. The five-year-old is a three-time winner with 10 placings to his record.
He hasn’t won for some time now but he did record a trial win at Lismore in May and that should be a good form guide for the winter.
Drawn well and capable jockey Jake Bayliss takes the ride.
Race 7. (15:32) TAB C2 Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Exdream – Bet Now
Kris Lees lines up the talented three-year-old which is working through his grades nicely.
He’s a two-time winner which scored nicely at Cessnock last start and he hasn’t been that far away from the winner when defeated.
That was a good sign fresh up when scoring and with Jeff Lloyd in the saddle, he should be very tough to beat here.
Race 8. (16:07) Channel Seven C4 Handicap (1100m)
#7 – Archer’s Paradox – Bet Now
David Murphy lines up the three-year-old filly which is a four-time winner and five-times placegetter.
The three-year-old filly wasn’t too far behind them last time out at Ipswich and that came behind some types that are much better than midweek grade.
Drawing barrier 14 makes it tough but she owns good barrier speed and could put a couple of lengths on this field.
