Ipswich Racing Tips for Saturday, June 20th 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Ipswich on Saturday, which includes nine races at the premier Group 1 meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Queensland meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (11:43) Great Northern Incentive Series C3 (1350m)

#8 – More Love @ $5.50

Punters get each-way odds for More Love, who looks to cap off four consecutive placings with a win.

The six-year-old mare by Dream Ahead owns a win and two placings at Ipswich, and having Ryan Maloney in the saddle is ideal.

We expect her to run well in a tough opening race.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (12:18) Gordon’s Gin Bundamba Mile BM78 (1666m)

#4 – Sosino @ $3.20

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Sosino, who turned his form around with a victory at Doomben by 1.3 lengths.

The six-year-old son of New Approach could kick on with now that he’s broken through, and it’s good to see early betting support come for him.

2kg comes off his back, which could be enough to get it done.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (12:53) Ray White Ipswich C6 (1350m)

#13 – Bluepinot @ $8.00

Bluepinot was too good for them at Doomben last start, and he is a good chance of going back-to-back.

The Chris Waller-trained four-year-old is a four-time winner from 19 starts, with two of those wins coming on soft tracks.

We expect him to run well, and punters get value odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (13:28) Channel Seven Stayers BM78 (2500m)

#4 – Captain Maverick @ $7.00

Captain Maverick hasn’t won this preparation, but the Waller-trained gelding could cap off consistent form with a win.

The five-year-old son is only a two-time winner overall, but he placed in both runs at Ipswich, so he enjoys the track.

Maloney takes the ride, which could get him over the line.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (14:03) Poco Vino BM78 (1200m)

#16 – Balance the Books @ $3.90

We have backed Balance the Books in all three runs this preparation, and although she hasn’t won, she hasn’t had much luck.

The four-year-old mare by Capitalist is a three-time winner from seven starts, and she will get back in the run and hit the line with purpose.

She is worth another chance at the current odds.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (14:38) Schweppes T L Cooney (1350m)

#2 – Platinum Pantheon @ $3.00

It was a huge run from Platinum Pantheon in the Fred Best Classic, and the Kiwi should be tough to beat in this race.

The Lisa Latta-trained gelding owns four wins and four placings from 14 starts, and getting barrier five makes him tough to hold out.

Take the $3 odds before late money comes for him.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 7. (15:17) Tab Ipswich Cup (2150m)

#12 – Kaluakoi @ $6.00

Kaluakoi is already a two-time winner this preparation, including a quality win at Doomben two starts back.

The Munce-trained gelding wasn’t too far away last time out at Eagle Farm, which should be a good form guide for this race.

Dropping to 53kg is enough to take him close, so take the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (15:53) Barrier Reef Pools Eye Liner Stakes (1350m)

#2 – Cifrado @ $8.50

Cifrado has shown speed in two runs this preparation, including a fresh up win at Gold Coast before placing at Doomben.

The five-year-old son of Encryption has yet to finish worse than second at Ipswich, and his natural speed should take him close.

The odds are much better than expected, so he’s a value runner.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 9. (16:30) Fertpro Gai Waterhouse Classic (1200m)

#13 – Sunset Dreaming @ $8.00

Looking to end the day on a high for punters is Sunset Dreaming, who owns two placings this preparation.

The five-year-old mare by Impending ran second at Eagle Farm last time out, and a repeat of that effort should be enough to take her close.

Getting in with 53kg only helps her chances of winning.

Stake: 1 Unit
