Ipswich free tips & form
Race 1. (11:58) Ray White Ipswich Handicap (1350m)
#3 – Craiglea Cruella – Bet Now
The two-year-old capped off some consistent form with a win last start and that form could continue here.
She’s a Warhead filly which scored against a relatively easy field last start but the Craiglea runners have a good record across Queensland.
She might go under the radar here and pay a nice price.
Race 2. (12:33) Ipswich Cup Tix On Sale Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Haalan – Bet Now
Tony Gollan lines up the three-year-old gelding which has been primed with a recent trial win at Doomben.
The son of O’Reilly looks to have a nice future ahead of him and scoring a trial win at Doomben is a good preparation for this.
Brad Stewart is the stable jockey and he takes the ride.
Race 3. (13:08) Cup Tix Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Come In Spinner – Bet Now
Tony Pike has been having a terrific Brisbane Winter Carnival and that could continue here with Come In Spinner.
The four-year-old by Derby-winner Jimmy Choux has placed twice from six starts, including a strong maiden second placing at Ellerslie.
He’s by no means an impressive type but he could be too good for this field.
Race 4. (13:43) Lazy Yak Precinct On Sale C2 (1710m)
#3 – Ocean Addict – Bet Now
Ocean Addict has yet to finish outside of the placings from four starts and that consistency could be rewarded here.
The four-year-old mare scored a win last by one length and she’s only going to get better with more racing under her belt this season.
Having experience winning in soft track conditions is ideal and we’re expecting another tidy effort.
Race 5. (14:18) Buy Pimms’s Lawn Party Tix Handicap (2210m)
#2 – Guise – Bet Now
Guise tarnished her unbeaten record when running third at Doomben last start but her form prior was top notch for this.
The most recent win came by 2.8 lengths and that capped off two wins which came by a length or more.
Drawing barrier two is going to see her land on the speed and give a good account in the straight.
Race 6. (14:53) Channel Seven BM75 (1350m)
#4 – Mail Escort – Bet Now
Four-year-old gelding Mail Escort is a well-named runner which got the job done nicely at Ipswich last time out.
The son of Mail Train x. Special Princess scored by just under a half-length and having winning experience on this track is going to help.
Drawing barrier four is ideal and we’re confident he can produce another good effort.
Race 7. (15:28) Ipswich Cup 15 June C6 (1710m)
#8 – I Am Impinge – Bet Now
Punters will need to keep the faith with I Am Impinge, which hasn’t shown much form this campaign.
However, the Edmonds-trained four-year-old has talent as shown by his four career wins to date.
He’s dropping back from rating 75 grade where he ran 10th at Eagle Farm but he meets an easier field here and could capitalise.
Likely to be at each way odds and they could be worth taking.
Race 8. (16:03) Tab C2 Plate (1200m)
#10 – True Quality – Bet Now
Matthew Dunn lines up the three-year-old which scored a maiden win at Doomben by 1.3 lengths.
The well-bred filly by Redoute’s Choice has had two trials since her win in January and that should give her enough fitness to run well in this.
Unlikely to get a massive price with bookmakers but any odds are worth taking with this talented type.
