Ipswich horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (14:24) Follow Ipswichturfclub Maiden (1200m)
#3 – Apple Tart – Bet @ Sportsbet
Apple Tart is on debut for Stuart Kendrick following a trial placing at Deagon. The daughter of Sebring looked good at the trials and the booking of Jim Byrne is a positive.
It’s tough to line up the form in the opening race, with most of the field not having had much experience. However, she should give punters a good sight.
Race 2. (14:59) Tab Live Sky Racing BM70 (1200m)
#2 – Jetty – Bet @ Sportsbet
Jetty is classy at best and he can get back to winning form this week. The Edmonds-trained gelding started his career in fine style before placing at his second start.
He has since taken on tough fields at Doomben, which included an open-class race. That form bodes well for this level and punters could get each-way odds from bookmakers.
Put him on top and expect an improved showing.
Race 3. (15:34) River 94.9fm Maiden (1700m)
#6 – Koonunga Hill – Bet @ Sportsbet
Koonunga Hill is getting close to a win after notching four placings from five starts. The Kacy Fogden-trained gelding was only fifth at Ipswich last start, but she will be better for the experience.
Her form prior included four consecutive placings to start her career, so the consistency is there and she could be rewarded.
We are expecting plenty of money to come her way on race day.
Race 4. (16:09) Carpet Court Ipswich BM65 (1200m)
#8 – Good Chat – Bet @ Sportsbet
The form of Good Chat makes him the logical choice in this contest. He has won twice this season, including a 1.3-length win at Ipswich last start.
The three-year-old son of All Too Hard has come of age this season and he should have every chance to continue his winning ways.
Drawing barrier 10 makes it harder, but his class takes him close.
Race 5. (16:44) Schweppes BM65 (1200m)
#2 – Dis Dah Wun – Bet @ Sportsbet
Dis Dah Wun is searching for her third consecutive win after demolishing the field last time out on this track.
The Sears-trained mare scored by 5.8 lengths and she handles all track conditions, so the weather won’t be an issue.
Punters should be confident with this runner.
Race 6. (17:19) Carlton Mid C4 Handicap (1100m)
#1 – Iced – Bet @ Sportsbet
The four-year-old gelding is rarely too far away from the prize and we are expecting another solid performance.
He owns three wins and nine placings from 15 starts, and two of those wins have come over this distance. It’s an impressive record and he could build on that here.
Punters could get each-way odds from bookmakers.
Race 7. (17:57) Sirromet C1 Handicap (1350m)
#5 – Our Fraulein – Bet @ Sportsbet
Our Fraulein will need some luck from the wide draw, but the four-year-old mare owns the ability to overcome it.
The daughter of Snitzel scored a win at Ipswich two starts back and she followed that up with a third placing at Doomben.
Having Larry Cassidy in the saddle helps, so she goes on top.
Race 8. (18:32) Ieec BM70 (1350m)
#2 – Full Nelson – Bet @ Sportsbet
With two wins from his last three starts, punters have every reason to stick with Full Nelson on Wednesday.
The Smith-trained gelding now owns four wins from 16 starts, and two of those wins have been posted on this track.
He is going well and despite facing a capable field, he could relish in the conditions.
