We have free tips and form for racing at Warwick Farm and Sandown this Wednesday.
The fields are a touch smaller due to the Queen’s Birthday meetings, but there’s still great odds on offer across the 15 races combined.
Warwick Farm free tips & form
Race 1. (12:50) Tab Rewards Maiden (1100m)
#4 – Sparkly Star @ $1.95 – BET NOW
The Gerald Ryan-trained three-year-old was a touch unlucky to not win last campaign and he should go close here.
He’s a son of Star Witness which has finished no worse than fourth in four starts and he has some impressive trial form leading into this.
He scored his first trial win by 2.3 lengths and his second by a shorter margin, but it’s promising form for midweek grade and the $1.95 could firm in on race day.
Race 2. (13:25) Australian Turf Maiden (1200m)
#7– Helga @ $5.50 – BET NOW
We’re big fans of the Les Bridge stables and in particular their debutantes. Helga is on debut this Wednesday after showing some solid trial form.
The Duporth filly finished third in a recent trial at Randwick and that form should take her close in what should be an open race.
Tim Clark riding is a good sign and punters are getting good odds at $5.50. Watch for any late market movement.
Race 3. (14:00) Spring On Sale BM74 (1200m)
#8 – Mad Fox @ $3 – BET NOW
Mad Fox brings in a good form line and punters should always respect the Chris Waller factor.
The three-year-old finished fourth behind Sprinting To Win last start and that’s great form for the midweek level. It has since won a nice race and it’s no wonder the bookmakers opened him up as the favourite.
Carrying 53.5kg will certainly help his chances and he has good second-up form so consider here.
Race 5. (15:10) Ranvet Power Formula BM73 (1600m)
#4 – Cormac @ $4.20 – BET NOW
Cormac appears to be the best of the Waller-trained runners and he comes into this with a recent Warwick Farm placing.
The three-year-old has good staying lines and the mile is going to suit him again. He drops in weight after running second at double-figure odds last start and that came after a win when he defeated only four rivals.
Drawing barrier 10 is tricky but the odds on offer make it worth the risk.
Race 6. (15:45) Bowermans Furniture BM71 (2110m)
#2 – Mornington @ $4 – BET NOW
It’s about time for Mornington to win a race as it has been far too long between drinks. The Waller-trained stayer loomed as a likely winner at Warwick Farm before hitting the wall in the straight.
That race fitness should do him some good and he’s facing an easier field here. He won’t have to do any work from an inside barrier and punters are once again getting good odds.
It’s now or never for fans of Mornington and this is his best chance to score.
Race 7. (16:20) Tab BM74 (1300m)
#7 – Seahampton @ $3.20 – BET NOW
Seahampton is another Chris Waller-trained runner and it pays to follow the stable.
The three-year-old hasn’t been seen since winning in December and the long lay-off is a negative, but she looked to have above-average ability.
She scored by 2.5 lengths and her recent trial at Rosehill when finishing sixth of seven runners was to be expected.
James McDonald takes the ride and she has already been backed in from $3.60 to $3.20.
Sandown free tips & form
Race 1. (12:25) Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1000m)
#6 – Sweet Rockette @ $4 – BET NOW
Michelle Payne trains and rides the debutante, which has looked impressive at the trials.
The well-bred filly by Fastnet Rock scored a 4.5-length trial win at Tatura and that form should line up well against this opposition on debut.
There has been good money for the filly, which opened at $6.50 and we could see her starting much shorter in the market.
Race 2. (13:00) Sheen Group Maiden (1400m)
#4 – Mount Kilcoy @ $1.80 – BET NOW
Darren Weir lines up the three-year-old colt which ran a good race on debut when finishing second behind subsequent winner Duality.
The son of High Chaparral will only get better over the longer distances and the rise to 1400m suits nicely for this.
The money has come thick and fast for the colt and he could start even shorter.
Race 4. (14:10) Ladbrokes BM78 (2400m)
#8 – Tea For Choux @ $6 – BET NOW
Great odds on offer for the in-form four-year-old from the Greg Eurell stables.
The son of Derby winner Jimmy Choux has rattled off consecutive victories in Melbourne and she was particularly impressive when scoring at Cranbourne last start.
The one-length win established the mare as a nice type and she will only get better with more ground and the 2400m is ideal.
Her breeding and form makes her the logical play here.
Race 6. (15:20) Clanbrooke Racing BM70 (1600m)
#13 – Rat With Goldtooth @ $3.20 – BET NOW
Not the best-named horse in the world but it has returned good money for punters in the past.
The four-year-old mare has won two of her eight starts and placed in another four. That’s a solid record and she gets into this race well off on the weights.
She has drawn to receive a good trip in transit and the $3.20 is a fair price.
