Doomben free tips & form

Race 1. (11:34) Crystal Slipper (1200m)

#2 – Bare Naked Lady @ $3.50 – BET NOW

The Tracey Bartley-trained two-year-old was an outstanding winner at Scone last time out when winning by 3.8 lengths.

She has since won a trial by 1.8 lengths and she looks likely to have a good future. The daughter of Walking Or Dancing has excelled since running third on debut and her odds have remained steady in the market throughout.

Corey Brown rides and he’ll give her a good run from barrier two.

Race 2. (12:09) Winning Edge Stakes (1350m)

#4 – Granny Red Shoes @ $1.55 – BET NOW

Granny Red Shoes is coming off an emphatic win at Sunshine Coast last start and that stakes-race form is going to stack up well here.

The Toby Edmonds-trained two-year-old had to weave between runners in the straight in what was a good ride from Jeff Lloyd. Blake Shinn takes over the riding here and if there’s any pace up front, expect the speedy filly to finish over the top of them again.

Punters need to take short odds but she deserves to be that short in betting.

Race 4. (13:19) Matt, Stav & Abby Plate (1350m)

#4 – No Annamossity @ $3.50 – BET NOW

Four-year-old gelding No Annamossity is coming off a tidy 1.8-length win on this track and that form looks good enough for this.

The Robert Heathcote-trained son of Mossman has a good record on a good track but his breeding suggests that he might enjoyed the sting out of the surface.

If any rain comes on the day, expect his odds to shorten.

Race 6. (14:38) Tattersall’s Cup (2200m)

#2 – Tradesman @ $1.90 – BET NOW

It was a tradesman’s performance for Tradesman last time out when winning the Ipswich Cup.

Trained by Darren Weir, the six-year-old was the short-priced favourite to win last start and after travelling wide throughout, he produced a game effort to score.

The rises up in distance slightly for this but the opposition is no harder and he should be able to take advantage of that.

$1.90 isn’t a bad price considering his credentials.

Race 7. (15:18) G.H. Mumm Stakes (1615m)

#7 – Noire @ $3.70 – BET NOW

Noire is a professional winner of six from 12 starts and she’s coming off an easy 1.8-length win at Randwick.

The Chris Waller-trained four-year-old showed her best form at midweek levels for most of her career but she has stepped up in grade with aplomb.

Drawing wide will likely force Brenton Avdulla to settle the mare back during the run but the 54kg on her back helps and she should be firing late.

Race 9. (16:33) W.J. Healy Stakes (1200m)

#9– Tumbler @ $7 – BET NOW

Tumbler was a little disappointing in the Lightning Quality at Sunshine Coast last start but she needed the run and she’s quality at best.

The lightly-tried six-year-old is a seven-time winner from 12 starts and carrying only 54kg on her back is going to bring her right into contention.

Jamie Kah comes over to ride and punters are getting a good price at $7. That represents value and her place odds are also good value.

Flemington free tips & form

Race 1. (11:41) Gippsland Region Handicap (1400m)

#4 – Star Fall @ $3.30 – BET NOW

Coming off a dominant win at Ballarat last start, Star Fall looks capable of improving enough to win at city level.

The Ciaron Maher-trained two-year-old scored by 3.8 lengths against a moderate field and it was a much better effort than running fifth on debut at Caulfield.

That came against a similar field to this but he has improved since and he should continue to improve with more racing under the belt.

Race 2. (12:16) The Murray Region BM90 (1400m)

#1 – Creativity @ $2.45 – BET NOW

Four-time winner Creativity is easily the best mare in the race but she will have to carry 60kg against an even field.

The Ellerton/Zahra-trained four-year-old finished third at Moonee Valley last start and that came after a handy two-length win at Caulfield to open her account this campaign.

She then ran sixth in stakes grade and it won’t be long before she returns to the winners’ enclosure again. She has been knocking on the door and if she carries the weight, she wins.

Race 3. (12:51) Great Ocean Road Handicap (1100m)

#1 – Nature Strip @ $1.80 – BET NOW

Punters have been burned by Nature Strip at his last two starts but he had excuses on both occasions.

The Darren Weir-trained runner received a horrible ride from Craig Williams fresh up and he was taken on in front last time out. He has changed stables, which will help greatly and he could make amends here.

He was touted as the next big thing last preparation and the ability to return a winner is there.

Race 7. (15:26) Brian Beattie Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Ozi Choice @ $2.50 – BET NOW

Ozi Choice scored easily by 2.3 lengths last time out and he’s capable of producing back-to-back wins.

The Weir-trained gelding has been warming up to the task this time in and it was good to see his form improve at Flemington last start. Staying on this track will only help his chances and he maps out nicely here.

He won’t worry about carrying the 58kg and his price will likely firm.
