Kennedy Mile/Cantala Stakes 2019 Form Guide & Tips
Best of Days ($16) Bet Now
Best of Days returned to form when running third last time out and he has enough ability to win.
Drawing barrier 14 isn’t ideal over this distance and he’s going to need some luck in running to push this field close.
Land of Plenty ($26) Bet Now
Handy type on his day but he’s out of form. Much better effort when fifth last start but he needs to find another length to be competitive.
Drawing the inside barrier isn’t ideal as he likes to have room to move.
Fifty Stars ($18) Bet Now
Has been very disappointing in four runs back from a spell and we can’t see that form turning around.
Odds are drifting and expect his odds to continue to drift.
Life Less Ordinary ($20) Bet Now
Back-to-back placings coming into this race but he would need the speed to be on throughout the race.
Drawing barrier 19 will force him back and if they go quickly up front, he’s good enough to finish over the top of them.
Royal Meeting (Best Roughie – $12) Bet Now
European runner which ran well enough to finish third last start and he’s only going to get better.
The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained runner was a winner at his first two starts and that form should stack up nicely here.
Barrier 16 hurts his chances but he should be fighting out the finish.
Fierce Impact ($7) Bet Now
Good win coming into this and that race should be a good form guide for this.
He’s another runner which has been hurt by receiving a wide barrier draw. However, if he finds a nice position in the run, expect him to be hitting the line well again.
Nice each-way odds on offer.
Cliff’s Edge ($11) Bet Now
Likes to ride the speed as we saw last time out. Drawn perfectly in barrier two and he should be around the mark over the final few hundred metres.
Hasn’t won for some time now and that’s the only negative.
Night’s Watch (Best Bet – $6.50) Bet Now
Another runner which hasn’t won for awhile now but that was a very good run for second last time out.
The Waller-trained runner was always going to return to form and this looks the ideal target for an overdue win.
He’s a risky bet but punters are getting each-way odds and he’s well worth the risk.
So Si Bon ($26) Bet Now
Was in career-best form before running down the track last time out. He’s a very tough horse to follow but never rule him out.
Streets of Avalon ($34) Bet Now
Scored an overdue win last time out but he would need to rise to another level to take this out.
If Zac Spain can find a good spot in running, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him running in the first six home.
Sikandarabad ($15) Bet Now
Backed and beaten multiple times already this season and we’re not sure he’s running well enough to win.
He showed much better form last season and punters will have to take him on trust here.
Cascadian ($12) Bet Now
Imported runner which showed off his turn-of-foot when winning last time out. He’s always a winning chance because of that speed, so punters are jumping off his back.
Drawing barrier 20 won’t worry him as he drops back, so look for him to be steaming home late in the piece.
Rock (Best Each Way – $9) Bet Now
Looked the goods when winning three consecutive races before running fifth in the Epsom Handicap.
The form out of that race has stacked up well with Te Akau Shark running third in the Cox Plate.
He’s a very nice type in the making and with only 53.5kg on his back, he should be running close to them.
Star of the Seas ($9.50) Bet Now
Indicated that a win wouldn’t be far away when running third last time out. Has a better record on rain-affected ground, but he shouldn’t be too far away here.
Bookmakers are confident of his chances so respect that.
Chief Ironside ($12) Bet Now
European runner which scored a good win last time out and he could kick on with it now.
We have already seen European form stack up perfectly this season and carrying 53kg is ideal.
Has every chance to win here and we wouldn’t be ruling him out.
Mahamedeis ($26) Bet Now
Seven-time winner which gets down in the weights, but he would need to improve to take this out.
Likely to run in another Group 1 on the day so expect him to be scratched here.
Noire ($61) Bet Now
Another runner which is a dual acceptor in the Empire Rose Stakes. Unlikely to get a start here so expect her to line up somewhere else.
Admiral’s Joker ($15) Bet Now
Has rattled off three consecutive wins and there is some solid betting support.
Barrier 18 makes it tough so we’re prepared to overlook his chances.
Variation ($41) Bet Now
Unlikely to run here and the odds reflect that.
Iconoclasm ($23) Bet Now
Good win last time out but he would need some luck to get a run in this race.
