The three-year-old son of Star Turn ran a solid fifth fresh up at Werribee, and he doesn’t need to improve too much on that effort.

#2 – Johnny Tightlips @ $1.60

Johnny Tightlips could have easily won both starts after running second, and he was in the wrong part of the track last time out.

The three-year-old gelding by Sepoy shouldn’t take long to exit maidens, and although the odds are short, he’s worth backing.

#8 – It Matters @ $4.60

It Matters is progressing towards a win after finishing second at Wangaratta, which should be a good form guide for this race.

The three-year-old filly owns two placings from three starts overall, including a placing at Kilmore two starts ago.

That should be enough to take her close at each-way odds.

The Ciaron Maher-trained filly ran third at Seymour two back before finishing sixth in heavy conditions at Stawel, which didn’t favour her.

Everything points to another good showing on Monday.

There isn’t much over Chateau Vega, and despite running fifth fresh up at Moe, she will appreciate the run and be competitive in this race.

The three-year-old filly by Lope de Vega looked good when winning at Echuca last preparation over 1200m, and she won’t mind the rise in distance.

$8 is a good price from bookmakers, so include her in picks.

Looking to make a winning return is Triple Triple, who has yet to fire fresh up, but this race is there for the taking.

The four-year-old son of Justify looked good when winning at Taree last preparation and coming to Victoria shouldn’t hurt his chances.
