It’s mostly low-level races to start the week at Kilmore on Monday, which hosts an eight-race card. However, there are some good value bets available, and there are some promising types in action, especially in the first few maiden races.

Looking to cap off back-to-back second placings is Levens Hall, who placed at Echuca before running second at Corowa.

The Lindsay Park-trained gelding doesn’t meet an overly tough field here, and he shouldn’t take much longer to break maidens.

The three-year-old son of Frosted was only a short margin behind the winner, and although there is an odds-on favourite in this race, he’s paying much better odds.

Look for him to settle midfield and come with a late run.

Race 4. (15:00) MC Labour Maiden (1100m)

Money has come for He’s on Point, who opened at $8 before shortening considerably into $4.20.

The Lindsay Smith-trained colt comes off three consecutive jumpout wins, and he looks ready to produce the goods on race day.

The inside draw is ideal, so he’s worth including in selections.

We’re taking the each-way odds for Frosted in Time, who has been all around the mark throughout his career with 10 starts for a win and five placings.

The five-year-old son of Frosted comes off a second placing at Seymour, and he has since won a trial at Seymour, which is good to see.

It’s a bit tricky from barrier 12, but luck takes him close.

Race 6. (16:00) Darebin RSL BM56 (2000m)

The four-year-old mare looked good earlier this preparation when winning at Geelong, and her form since has been solid enough to recommend.
