Magic Millions 3YO Guineas Form Guide & Tips
Pierata (Best Bet – $2.40) – BET NOW
Gregory Hickman lines up the current favourite Pierata, which put the writing on the wall last time out.
The Pierro colt scored by 2.5 lengths in a strong race at Doomben and that should be the best form guide for this race.
He gets the inside draw to use and he’s being heavily backed in the market. That’s hardly surprising and he should give punters the best chance of winning.
Goodfella (Best Each Way – $10) – BET NOW
Goodfella is an experienced runner with 12 starts for three wins and three placings.
The Bjorn Baker-trained colt ran third behind Pierata last start, but its wins in Sydney suggests that he’s good enough to turn the tables.
The odds on offer are good value.
Whypeeo ($18) – BET NOW
He’s a talented type on his day, but the inconsistent efforts are tough to overlook.
His win at Doomben two starts could have been good enough to take out this race, but he was poor when eighth last time out and that won’t be good enough for this.
Curdled ($31) – BET NOW
5.3 lengths behind Pierata last start, but he didn’t get much luck in running.
It could be easy to write off Curdled due to his form, but there’s talent there and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him finishing in the first five.
Saint Patricks Day ($91) – BET NOW
Three-time winner from eight starts, but this is a major rise in class and the odds are telling.
Unlikely to get close to them.
Bel Sonic ($16) – BET NOW
More than capable of winning this race if his Melbourne form is anything to go by.
He was a gritty winner at Moonee Valley last time out and punters need to decide if that form is better than Queensland form.
The odds are worth taking the risk so consider him as a winning hope.
Shogun Sun ($21) – BET NOW
The Written Tycoon gelding is a touch too inconsistent to be considered a winning chance here.
He ran seventh last time out and his recent form also included a 12th at Rosehill. That’s not going to be good enough for this, but he does possess ability.
Arrestar ($151) – BET NOW
Triple-figure odds chances after running sixth at Gold Coast in preparation for this and he wasn’t looking overly impressive when running third in a recent trial.
Wild Heart ($12) – BET NOW
Team Hawkes lines up this gelding which won well at Wyong last start and it could go close based on that effort, but he might need to find a few lengths.
His recent trial was only fair at Rosehill and we feel if he wasn’t in this stable, his odds would be much higher.
Magnufighter ($41) – BET NOW
Looked good winning consecutive races to open its campaign, but it has been well-held his last two and the odds reflect his chances.
Calculated ($14) – BET NOW
Would have attracted more support in the betting had he drawn a barrier.
The Chris Waller-trained runner finished a close third at Randwick last start and some punters believe that could be a good form guide for this.
It’s going to be tough from barrier 15, so we’re prepared to risk it.
Pinch Passion ($151) – BET NOW
Shocking last couple of efforts and this is nothing more than a stab in the dark from connections.
Smartedge (Best Roughie – $21) – BET NOW
We have always liked this three-year-old gelding, which only lost by a nose at Randwick last start.
The Snowden-trained son of Smart Missile was a quality winner at Kembla Grange prior to that and connections have always had a big opinion of this runner.
Not the worst bet at nice odds.
Cellargirl ($34) – BET NOW
Capable on her day, but the form has tapered off a touch and she’s hard to recommend on recent efforts.
Sasso Corbaro ($4.40) – BET NOW
Winner of three straight and she has looked impressive in doing so.
Close to being the best bet, but she has drawn wide and the $4.40 isn’t good enough to recommend as a winning chance.
There’s no value for her, despite being a top filly.
Lady of Crebilly ($26) – BET NOW
Has been around the mark this campaign in Sydney, but she would need to find a few lengths to become a place chance.
I Am Impigne ($34) – BET NOW
Capable on her day, but she should have beaten some easier fields this campaign and she came up short.
Keep in mind for the future, but this might be too tough.
Cruze ($71) – BET NOW
Tough to recommend here.
