Magic Millions 3YO Guineas Form Guide & Tips

(1) Ninja (Best Bet – $1.90)

It’s not the best 3YO Guineas field we’ve ever seen, and Ninja could take capitalise as the odds-on favourite.

He smashed the opposition last start at Eagle Farm, and he has always promised to deliver on the big stage, so this is his race to win.

The odds could firm on race day, so take the opening price.

(2) O’ Ole ($19.00)

A first four chance if her best form comes to the table, and she hasn’t been far away recently when running fourth at Wyong and Eagle Farm.

If she is anywhere near her best, she could cause an upset, so include in picks.

(3) Damien ($20.00)

He loomed as a strong winning contender, but he hasn’t been able to win this campaign, which is disappointing.

Barrier five is ideal, but he would need to improve a few lengths to win.

(4) Torque to be Sure ($18.00)

A good second placing behind Miss Freelove last week, and if that run hasn’t fatigued him, he could go close to winning.

Barrier 15 is why he’s paying $18 to win, but if he gets some luck, he could figure in the finish to boost payouts.

(5) Saxobushi ($18.00)

He comes off back-to-back wins, but he hasn’t been exposed to this level of racing. That could see him struggle to keep up.

(6) Spanish Treasure ($15.00)

There has been some backing for Spanish Treasure, who won at Gold Coast last week. That was a maiden race, but he has enough upside to consider.

(7) Benevac ($31.00)

Better for two runs back from a spell, including a second placing at Canterbury. However, he was only fair at Wyong, and he would need to find a couple of lengths on that run.

(8) Cellarmaster ($23.00)

Broke its maiden tag with a win at Randwick, but we question the strength of that form, and the opening $41 odds might have been accurate.

(9) Jimmy’s Brother ($23.00)

Took care of a small field at Ipswich, but he could struggle to handle the bigger field. Angela Jones rides, but we’re putting him to the side here.

(10) Memo (Best Roughie – $13.00)

Memo comes off a good run at Wyong when hitting the line well, and there has been some backing for the filly.

She is talented at her best, as she showed last season, and a win isn’t too far away.

(11) Icarian Dream (Best Each Way – $8.50)

Winning races has been tough for Icarian Dream, but she ran third behind Graftburners last start, and that form has since been franked.

She is fitter for the run, and we would be surprised if she didn’t figure in the finish, so the $2.40 odds to place are generous.

(12) Recuperato ($51.00)

Only fair this preparation, and we can’t see that form holding up well.

(13) Dragonne Rouge ($41.00)

She didn’t impress fresh up, so she needs to lift too much to be included in Magic Millions picks.

(14) Hi Barbie ($51.00)

Her form has tapered off badly, and she should be at longer odds than $51.

(15) Adorable Thought ($26.00)

Not too far behind Ninja last time out when running third. She gets the inside draw, so she’s a first four chance with a good trip.

(16) Crash the Party ($71.00)

She didn’t fire in the Magic Millions Maiden last week, so we can’t have her here.

(17) Norty Forty ($101.00)

Solid enough form against easier opposition, but this is a massive rise in class.
