We have expert betting tips for the card this Saturday at Gold Coast that features nine quality betting races.
It’s Magic Millions Day at the Gold Coast and we have our best bets for every race on the card.
Magic Millions Day horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:15) Magic Millions Maiden (1200m)
#9 – Warmth @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Warmth comes off three consecutive third placings and we like her chances of breaking through.
The daughter of Hinchinbrook has been running well at the trials, including wins at Randwick and Rosehill.
Barrier three is ideal and the early money has been placed.
Race 2. (12:50) Magic Millions Quality (1800m)
#2 – Wheelhouse @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Wheelhouse finally scored an overdue win at Gold Coast last start and he’s good enough to go back-to-back.
The four-year-old son of Pierro is only a two-time winner, but we’re confident that he’s one of the best runners in this field.
Punters should expect a top effort.
Race 3. (13:25) $1m Audi Centre Subzero (2400m)
#2 – Wapiti @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Wapiti already owns two wins this preparation and multiple placings, so we’re sticking with the gelding.
The five-year-old son of Love Conquers All owns a win and two placings from four attempts at the track, so he should go well again.
He handles all track conditions and the each-way odds are appealing.
Race 4. (14:00) Magic Millions F&M (1300m)
#7 – Snapdancer @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Snapdancer was close behind the winner fresh up at Randwick and her form improves with a run under the belt.
The five-year-old daughter of Choisir owns two wins from three attempts second-up, so he looks well-placed.
55.5kg on his back is ideal and James McDonald takes the ride.
Race 5. (14:35) It’s Live QLD M.M Snippets (1200m)
#14 – Isotope @ $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Isotope is a professional winner of five from 10 starts, including three at the distance and an unbeaten three-from-three on soft ground.
The Tony Gollan-trained mare by Deep Field comes off a tidy trial placing at Doomben and that should have him prime and ready to go.
Carrying a light weight is ideal and the odds are worth taking.
Race 6. (15:15) Magic Millions Cup (1400m)
#2 – Apache Chase @ $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Apache Chase has a horror barrier draw of 21, but if he gets luck in running, he should be tough to beat.
The Desleigh Forster-trained son of Better than Ready is a six-time winner at the distance and punters never get $7 for the speedster.
It’s a tough race but we’re sticking with him.
Race 9. (17:00) Racing QLD Magic Millions (1300m)
#4 – Miami Fleiss @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Miami Fleiss rattled off three consecutive wins before finishing eighth at Doomben last start behind a nice field.
The four-year-old mare is a five-time winner from eight starts, including a win at the track and distance.
It’s excellent form for this level of racing and despite drawing barrier 15, dropping to 54kg puts her right in contention.
