Cranbourne free tips & form
Race 1. (18:00) Procon Developments Maiden (1200m)
#5 – Shir @ $5.50 – BET NOW
Shir ran well on debut when second at Geelong and it shouldn’t take him long to break maiden grades.
The Danny O’Brien-trained colt by Sepoy had solid trial form before that debut run and he’s going to enjoy the extra distance.
Bookmakers will likely have him in well in the market and a good run is expected.
Race 2. (18:30) R & C Asphalt Maiden (1000m)
#2– Dulette @ $4.80 – BET NOW
John Mcardle lines up two-year-old gelding Dulette, which has the experience edge over many of his rivals.
The son of Epaulette finished third on debut at Geelong when running 1.4 lengths behind Native Soldier.
He then ran third at Pakenham and both of those efforts should hold him in good stead for this.
Bookmakers should be offering handy each-way odds in this.
Race 3. (19:00) Mypunter Maiden Plate (2025m)
#6 – Reliable Magic @ $3.80 – BET NOW
Reliable Magic has placed twice already this campaign and he’s not far off winning.
Trained by Richard Laming, the three-year-old gelding ran third at Mornington to kick off this campaign before finishing only 1.7 lengths behind the winner at Pakenham.
He ran a solid race for third last time out and he didn’t get the best of luck throughout the run.
This isn’t the deepest maiden field and he could take advantage.
Race 4. (19:30) Browns Sawdust Maiden (1550m)
#8 – Soluminate @ $3.70 – BET NOW
Darren Weir-trained runners don’t often take long to break maiden grades and Soluminate looks a good chance to break through.
The three-year-old has placed in five of his seven starts to date, including a close second placing on this track last start.
It’s only a matter of time before he scores his first career win and he should get every chance from an inside barrier.
Stick with him until he wins.
Race 5. (20:00) T Harrison Apprentice Cup (1300m)
#5 – Duality @ $3.40 – BET NOW
There was solid money for Duality at Sandown last start and he got the job done well.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, the three-year-old put the writing on the wall on debut when running second behind Holy Command and that form has since been franked.
He’s likely to push forward from the barriers again and they’ll be hard-pressed to run him down.
Race 6. (20:30) T J Harrison Plate BM78 (2025m)
#4 – Tea For Choux @ $4 – BET NOW
We have always been a fan of Tea For Choux and she looks like a good winning chance once again.
The Greg Eurell-trained mare has won three from 10 starts, with all three wins coming over her last five starts.
She showed her ability when running three consecutive second placings last preparation before eventually breaking through at Seymour.
That was a catalyst for her record to date and we’re expecting another professional effort.
Race 7. (21:00) Mercedez-Benz Final (1600m)
#9 – Linguist @ $8 – BET NOW
Linguist has been a bit expensive for punters of late but she’s talented when things fall in her favour.
The smart mare by Helmut finished second on this track last start and although she was seven lengths behind the winner, she still defeated 10 other runners.
She gets in here with only 55kg on her back and she won’t have to do much work from barrier two to ensure a prime position.
Race 8. (21:30) O’Brien Sky Heights BM78 (2520m)
#10 – The Black Leopard @ $3.50 – BET NOW
The Black Leopard had his supporters last start and although he finished only third, he looked flat on the turn but made up ground nicely.
Trained by Henry Dwyer, the four-year-old by staying stallion Ekraar looks well-suited up in distance and punters had to be impressed with the way he hit the line last start.
It was a run by a horse which is going to be tough to beat over the staying distances and he looks a good bet in the final race of the night.
