There is plenty of value on offer for punters and we have picked out the best races throughout the day on Monday.
Monday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:00) De Bortoli Wines Maiden (1600m)
#8 – Aqaareb @ $1.75 – Bet Now
Aqaareb is the deserving short-priced favourite following her second placing on this track last time out.
The Lindsay Park-trained three-year-old also owns experience running third on debut at Morphettville and that is a strong form guide for this.
It is only a matter of time before she wins and bookmakers are expecting that to happen on Monday.
Race 2. (13:30) Sportsbet Pakenham Maiden (1100m)
#3 – Rubick Kingdom @ $2.80 – Bet Now
Team Hawkes has been patient with Rubick Kingdom, which makes his debut as a four-year-old.
The son of Rubick has had five trials to prepare for his debut, including two placings at Wyong and Gold Coast.
Running in Victoria should help his chances and although this field is tricky, he looks to have the most upside of any runner.
Race 5. (15:00) Shanks Electrical BM58 (1000m)
#5 – Loving Gracie @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Loving Gracie was too good for her opposition when scoring on this track last time out. The Busuttin/Young-trained mare won by a length after hitting the line with authority.
A repeat of that effort would be good enough to figure in the finish here and punters are getting value odds.
Lachlan Neindorf takes some weight off her back and she should be tough to handle.
Race 7. (16:00) Reward Distribution BM58 (1600m)
#7 – Bartender Blues @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Bartender Blues scored his maiden win at Pakenham last start and he is capable of kicking on with it now.
The four-year-old took 11 starts to breakthrough but it was a quality win and he has been around the mark his entire career.
The $5.50 on offer is a good price from bookmakers and one worth taking.
Race 2. (12:55) John Oxley Motors BM66 (1500m)
#7 – The Borough @ $2.65 – Bet Now
The Borough has been a model of consistency this year and he could add another top showing to his record.
He is trained by Paul Perry and comes into this race with two wins and two placings from his last four starts. It is a good record and this field is there for the taking.
His opening odds of $2.75 have been taken and that isn’t surprising. Expect his odds to drop even shorter come race day.
Race 3. (13:35) Prime7 Local News Maiden (1200m)
#11 – Royal Charge @ $1.95 – Bet Now
Royal Charge is getting close to a win after consecutive second placings. The Alan Denham-trained three-year-old was only a nose behind the winner last start, which is a good form guide.
Punters will have to take an odds-on quote this time around but he still represents value and should give punters a good sight.
Race 5. (14:45) Panthers Port Macquarie BM58 (1800m)
#2 – Men In Tights @ $3.30 – Bet Now
The four-year-old son of Hampton Court looked good when winning at Taree last start and he is capable of leading throughout again.
He has led in his last three starts, which has resulted in a win and two placings. It is likely that he will try find the front again and provide a good kick at the top of the straight.
He placed at his only start on this track and that bodes well.
Race 6. (15:25) Schweppes C2 Handicap (1000m)
#5 – Areya Tuchuzy @ $2.90 – Bet Now
The three-year-old is coming off a tidy effort at Tamworth where he finished third after trying to led throughout.
He wasn’t able to follow up his win on July 13 with another, but he lost no admirers with the effort and it should translate for this run.
Amelia Denby takes the ride at a light weight and it could be enough to see Areya Tuchuzy fighting out the finish again.
