We have expert betting tips for the cards this Monday at Ballarat and Goulburn.
Bookmakers have value odds available for Monday meetings and we have our best selections available.
Monday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:00) Suez Mazda Maiden (1200m)
#2 – Full Probe @ $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Full Probe comes off a quality second placing at Sale where he was just a half-length behind the winner.
The three-year-old gelding is a son of Deep Field that battled gamely last time out and we’re not surprised by the odds available.
He should give punters a good sight in the opener.
Race 2. (13:30) Sam Miranda Maiden Plate (1200m)
#8 – Zoudini @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Lindsay Smith-trained four-year-old looked good when placing in his first two starts, so he could win fresh up.
He is a son of Zoustar that finished second on debut at Warrnambool before handling the heavy track at Geelong to finish third.
$2.10 is getting short but he’s a good multi bet addition.
Race 5. (15:00) Porter Plant BM70 (1500m)
#3 – Prince of Helena @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Prince of Helena is a consistent four-year-old that owns three wins and seven placings from 13 starts.
The son of Sidestep comes off a third placing at Flemington and that form stacks up nicely for a Monday meeting at Ballarat.
Punters should be confident and the odds are spot on.
Race 6. (15:30) Hygain Winners Choice BM58 (1100m)
#4 – Cop A Clip @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old filly isn’t the most consistent type going around, but the daughter of I Am Invincible has ability.
She already owns two wins and three second placings from eight starts, so there is plenty of room for improvement.
Getting 2kg off her back is ideal and punters get each-way odds to enjoy.
Race 1. (12:30) Waterwise Consulting Maiden (1500m)
#7 – Awesome Choice @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Awesome Choice is getting close to producing the goods after notching back-to-back placings.
The Joe Pride-trained three-year-old finished second at Newcastle two back before running third at Nowra, which is solid form for this race.
There has been solid betting support for the favourite and she should give punters a good sight.
Race 3. (13:45) David Alt Electrical BM66 (1000m)
#4 – No Impediment @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
No Impediment is a five-year-old gelding that owns two wins and two placings from only five career starts.
The son of Unemcumbered won his only start at Goulburn and his recent trial form should have punters confident for this contest.
He comes off a trial win at Rosehill and we’re expecting a big effort.
Race 5. (14:55) Douglass Blinds & Security C3 (1500m)
#9 – One Aye @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One Aye looked good when winning three consecutive races before finishing eighth at Wagga and Randwick.
She is better than those efforts suggest and the three-year-old could return to her best form at Goulburn on Monday.
Punters are getting value odds and we expect the $2.70 to firm considerably on race day.
Race 7. (16:10) Dynamick Fire Installations C1 (1200m)
#10 – Pruscino @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Pruscino comes off a win at Queanbeyan and we expect that maiden win to stack up nicely in this grade.
The three-year-old filly by I Am Invincible scored emphatically by four lengths and although rising in grade is never easy, we don’t think C1 grade holds her for long.
56.5kg is a fair weight on her back and she should do her price justice.
