Randwick horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:40) Summer Membership BM78 (2500m)

#1 – Rockarral @ $7 – Bet Now

Rockarral looked good last season when winning three consecutive races and looks close to returning to that form here.

The five-year-old gelding by High Chaparral loves the longer distances and this should be ideal now, having run over 2000m its last two.

He’s a five-time winner that has more wins in store and should provide punters with good value in the first race.

Race 2. (13:15) Antler Luggage Plate (1200m)

#8 – Prince Ruban @ $4.40 – Bet Now

The two-year-old colt makes his debut after producing an impressive jump out. He won that convincingly and there is confidence in the market.

He’s a son of Pride of Dubai that is bred to show early pace and he only needs some luck from the wide barrier draw.

$4.40 is worth taking the risk.

Race 3. (13:55) Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap (2040m)

#2 – Future Score @ $2.70 – Bet Now

Future Score kicked off this campaign with a win and he looks a good chance to continuing that form here.

The imported son of Cape Cross is a quality five-time winner from only 12 starts and he could win four consecutive races with another good showing.

John Allen rides and he jumps from a good barrier.

Race 4. (14:35) Chandler Macleod BM78 (1600m)

#2 – Cassius @ $3.20 – Bet Now

Cassius could land the knockout blow here after producing a good performance to run second last start.

The Lindsay Park-trained three-year-old ran only a neck behind the winner at Moonee Valley and the experience on this track helps.

Luke Nolen rides from a good barrier of three and that should be enough to see him fighting out the finish.

He just needs to hold out a talented field.

Race 5. (15:15) Strathmore Bendigo Bank BM64 (1600m)

#3 – Kaching @ $71 – Bet Now

Huge odds on offer for this six-year-old that has two placings from two starts at Moonee Valley.

He might be out of form but he’s coming off an improved run for fourth at Echuca and that should give punters some confidence.

Punters will need to muscle up and take the big odds, but there are much worse $71 chances around.

Race 6. (15:55) Ladbrokes Back Yourself BM70 (1600m)

#8 – Crimson Ace @ $5 – Bet Now

Crimson Ace went close at Cranbourne last start when finishing a nose behind Tigger.

The Busuttin/Young-trained mare has two wins from eight starts and has finished in the money in five of her eight starts.

The daughter of Skilled has a second-up win in the past and that bodes well for her upcoming run this Saturday.

$5 is a fair price from bookmakers and one worth taking.

Race 7. (16:35) Leneva Park BM70 (1200m)

#9 – Paul’s Regret @ $4.20 – Bet Now

Paul’s Regret is coming off an impressive win on this track and we’re expecting her to run another top race.

She’s a filly by Canford Cliffs that scored by 2.5 lengths in a dominant front-running display. She was able to control the pace and kick clear around the home turn.

Drawing barrier nine is the only negative but she has good barrier speed and could cross the field with ease.

She’s certainly worth including at the odds.

Race 8. (17:15) Mf Freight Handicap (1000m)

#2 – Wagner @ $2.60 – Bet Now

Wagner played the right tune for punters last start when winning by 1.5 lengths at Moonee Valley.

Trained by James Cummings, the four-year-old gelding improved his record to five wins from 18 starts and he has every chance to improve that record here.

He gets the gun run off the inside draw and with experienced rider Dwayne Dunn in the saddle, we’re expecting another top run.

Race 9. (17:15) New Years at Legends BM70 (1000m)

#14 – Exquisite Beauty @ $7.50 – Bet Now

The Maher/Eustace-trained filly has finished in the money in three of her four starts and could add to that record here.

She is coming off a respectable run for third at Pakenham and that followed a maiden win at Moe by a narrow margin.

This is a tough field to beat but she can add value for punters in the final race of the card.
