Moonee Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (18:15) Entry Education Maiden (1600m)

#6 – Summerhill @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Summerhill has gone close on two occasions and he meets a field there for the taking on Friday.

The four-year-old son of Frankel finished second at Pakenham last time out and we’re expecting that form to stack up nicely.

Barrier two is ideal and punters get each-way odds to enjoy.

Race 2. (18:45) Front Runner Membership BM70 (1600m)

#2 – Perfect World @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Perfect World did the job fresh up at Ballarat and the 3.8-length win is a solid form guide.

The four-year-old mare by Pride of Dubai owns two wins and five second placings from 12 starts, which is ideal form.

She gets an inside draw and $2.90 is worth taking.

Race 3. (19:15) Tab Greyhound Cup C1 (1200m)

#6 – Transplant @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Money has come for Transplant, who scored fresh up last campaign at Kilmore before running fourth at Sandown.

The four-year-old mare was only 2.5 lengths behind Electric Belle at Sandown, and she won’t find this much harder.

Her opening odds of $4.50 have firmed, so that’s a good sign.

Race 4. (19:45) Heartkids Hero BM70 (2500m)

#1 – Chains of Honour @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Chains of Honour hasn’t been far away in five starts this season and he’s due a winning turn.

The five-year-old son of Redoute’s Choice is a three-time winner who should enjoy racing over this distance at The Valley.

3kg comes off his back and that could make the difference.

Race 5. (20:15) Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge BM64 (955m)

#5 – Fast ‘n’ Deep @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Fast ‘n’ Deep did enough when running third fresh up to warrant attention at this level.

The six-year-old mare is a two-time winner at the distance and her best form comes with a run under her belt.

Getting the inside draw with a 3kg claimer makes her tough to hold out.

Race 6. (20:45) Ladbroke It BM70 (1000m)

#9 – Unflinching @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Unflinching scored on debut at Mornington and the 3.5-length victory is a good sign for the future.

The Freedman-trained three-year-old enjoyed the good track conditions and he should get similar conditions this time around.

Barrier five is ideal around The Valley and punters should be confident.

Race 7. (21:15) Tote Bar & Dining BM64 (1600m)

#6 – Manasa @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Manasa scored a terrific win at Pakenham last time out by 1.8 lengths, which should stack up nicely.

The four-year-old daughter of Per Incanto owns two wins and two placings from seven starts, including once at this distance.

Barrier 13 could be problematic, but she looks to have the class edge over this field.

Race 8. (21:45) Xmas Parties BM64 (1200m)

#1 – Address Melbourne @ $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Address Melbourne got the job done at Pakenham last start and he’s good enough to go back-to-back at odds.

Punters were confident of a big run when he paid $3.10, so we’re surprised he’s paying $10 against a similar field.

Carrying a big weight is the obvious negative, but most of the runners in this field are carrying 60kg or above.
