We have expert betting tips for the card this Friday night at Moonee Valley that features eight quality betting races.
Punters love night racing from The Valley and we have tips for every race on the card.
Moonee Valley horse racing tips
Race 1. (17:30) Ladbrokes Easy Form Maiden (1600m)
#7 – Bobsled @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Bobsled has started his career off nicely with back-to-back placings and he could score a win on Friday night.
The Richard Laming-trained three-year-old was third at Mornington last start and the son of Snitzel has wins to come.
Expect a nice effort and money has come for him early.
Race 2. (18:00) In Memory Vin Drechsler BM64 (1400m)
#1 – Deep Speed @ $2.05 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deep Speed was an impressive debut winner at Morphettville and connections must be confident to bring him to The Valley.
The son of Deep Field scored by a length and he showed good barrier speed to lead the field throughout.
He should try lead again, as Moonee Valley is a good leader’s track.
Race 3. (18:30) Walk For Cancer BM64 (1200m)
#11 – Augmentation @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The unbeaten record of Augmentation is on the line and she looks like a winning chance. She won on debut at Kilmore before making it two-from-two at Kyneton.
She only narrowly got the job done last start but she will be better for the outing and getting a 3kg claimer helps.
$6 is a fair price from bookmakers and she should be on your ticket.
Race 4. (19:00) Ranvet BM70 (2500m)
#8 – Wahine Toa @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Early support has come for Wahine Toa following a solid effort for sixth at Cranbourne. She didn’t have the best tempo to suit, so punters should look to her previous starts.
The daughter of Dalakhani finished third in the St Leger at Flemington and rising back up in distance should be enough to see her going close.
Race 5. (19:30) Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge (955m)
#2 – Whipcracker Way @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Whipcracker Way has the recent form on the board after scoring three consecutive wins this season.
The four-year-old now owns four wins from five starts and despite most of those coming at Moe, he defeated a subsequent winner last start.
He defeated Mrs Beckham, which has since won at Bendigo, so put him on top.
Race 6. (20:00) Drummond Golf BM70 (1000m)
#8 – Hint of Mint @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hint of Mint doesn’t have the best form in the world but the four-year-old mare is more talented than most in this field.
She owns three wins from 10 starts and most of her recent racing has come against stronger fields. That experience will hold her in good stead and punters get each-way odds.
Race 7. (20:30) McCafe BM70 (2040m)
#2 – Chuck A Luck @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Chuck A Luck looked good when running second at Moe last start and the form out of that race should stack up.
Getting 2kg off his back is ideal and he has finished in the money in nine of his 16 starts, so he has the consistency needed.
Include in selections at a value price.
Race 8. (21:00) Seppelt Wines BM64 (1600m)
#8 – Rolls @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Smith-trained gelding didn’t have all favours when running second at Warrnambool, but punters should stick with him.
He is a two-time winner that has yet to win from four starts this season, but he only needs a touch of luck to go his way.
Stick with him at the generous odds.
