Morphettville horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:36) M&J Chickens BM66 (1250m)

#5 – Enaaya @ $3.10 – Bet Now

The two-year-old filly ran well on debut and having experience on this track is only going to help her in the future.

She’s trained by Team McEvoy and her effort to run second behind Yule My Hero on debut was a good indication of her ability.

She draws well for this and we’re expecting a nice effort.

Race 2. (13:11) Tab Country Cup (1950m)

#7 – Adatto @ $6 – Bet Now

Adatto is an experienced runner that owns three wins and 14 placings. He has been mixing his form of late but he is showing glimpses of quality form.

He should use the inside draw to his advantage and given his good record on this track, he could provide punters with good value.

Race 3. (13:46) Schweppes BM68 (1400m)

#3 – Westport @ $5 – Bet Now

Punters are patiently waiting for Westport to show her form of old. The McEvoy-trained filly looked good winning her first three starts but recent form has been poor.

She’s unbeaten in two starts at Morphettville and perhaps returning to her favourite track will switch her on.

Chance and punters are getting solid odds.

Race 4. (14:21) Fleurieu Milk Company BM62 (1250m)

#3 – Jacobite Prince @ $3.80 – Bet Now

It was only a fair effort from Jacobite Prince last start but he’s better than that. He showed his ability when scoring wins at his first two starts.

One of those wins came on this track by two lengths where he led throughout. He hasn’t led at his last two starts, so expect a more positive ride.

It’s a big field so finding the front is important to his chances.

Race 5. (15:01) AAMI BM82 (1550m)

#9 – Roselli Sting @ $5.50 – Bet Now

Bringing 70 starts worth of experience, Roselli Sting could score his ninth career win. The seven-year-old has finished in the money in 33 of his 70 starts, so he’s been consistent throughout.

His most recent run came last month where he finished third behind Grand Crown. He drops in weight from that run and strong money has come for him throughout the week.

He’s a chance in an open race.

Race 6. (15:46) Furphy Railway Stakes (1000m)

#3 – Bella Vella @ $2.45 – Bet Now

Bella Vella showed her class when scoring by 2.5 lengths at Moonee Valley last start. The five-year-old mare defeated a quality field and she could do the same again on Saturday.

She won her only start on this track and given how strong her form in Melbourne is, we’re expecting a tough effort.

Punters are getting fair odds and they’re worth taking.

Race 7. (16:26) Winning Edge Presentation BM68 (1400m)

#9 – Flying Pierro @ $5 – Bet Now

It has been a long time between drinks for Flying Pierro but he could return to winning form here.

The David Jolly-trained four-year-old has come for support throughout the week and that’s a good sign for punters.

Keep an eye on markets come race day.

Race 8. (17:01) Terry Howe Printing BM72 (1000m)

#10 – Seemingly Discreet @ $3.10 – Bet Now

Phillip Stokes lines up the three-year-old filly which is in flying form. She scored by 3.8 lengths at Gawler two back and followed it up with a win at Morphettville.

The daughter of Sepoy is rising through the grades in quick time and we wouldn’t be surprised to see her winning again.

The $3.10 will likely firm.

Race 9. (17:40) Chalk Hill BM68 (1400m)

#2 – Sweet Mischief @ $13 – Bet Now

Sweet Mischief typically finds form early in her campaign and she could run well at odds.

She’s another runner for Team McEvoy and she has been primed with two trials leading into this race.

$13 is on offer from bookmakers and it’s well worth taking.
