Morphettville horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:31) Dominant BM64 (1250m)
#3 – Blood Sweat Tears – Bet Now
Blood Sweat Tears is coming off a win at Bendigo where he led throughout the 1300m journey.
The Maher/Eustace-trained three-year-old looks to have a solid future and he meets an even field this Saturday.
Punters should get each-way odds and he represents value.
Race 2. (13:06) Furphy BM68 (1550m)
#3 – Allusion – Bet Now
Team McEvoy lines up the five-year-old gelding that hasn’t raced since February, but he goes best fresh up.
The son of Not A Single Doubt has had three fresh starts for a win and two placings. There is plenty to like about that form and this field isn’t overly deep.
Race 3. (13:41) Tab BM72 (1250m)
#2 – Sign of Ussuri – Bet Now
Punters have been burned by Sign of Ussuri at his last two starts but we wouldn’t dropping him just yet.
He finished in both outings, which followed consecutive wins at Murray Bridge and Morphettville. His form has been solid all year and punters should climb on board again.
Punters might get better than an odds-on quote this time around.
Race 4. (14:21) Soul Growers BM78 (2250m)
#1 – Bertwhistle @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Bertwhistle continues to run excellent races and punters are getting value odds again. The eight-year-old scored back-to-back wins before running a game third last start.
She ran third behind Exemplar at Flemington and bringing that form back to Adelaide should make her tough to beat.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and we are confident of her chances.
Race 5. (15:01) Adelaide Galvanising BM64 (1950m)
#7 – Kalamon – Bet Now
Kalamon owns two wins and two placings from his last four starts, which is quality form leading into this race.
The Jolly-trained son of Husson won by three lengths in late July before finishing strongly to run third at Morphettville last start.
He faces an even field here and punters should get each-way odds.
Race 6. (15:41) AAMI BM68 (1000m)
#10 – Nature Deel – Bet Now
Nature Deel was an impressive on debut when scoring at Balaklava and she could remain unbeaten this Saturday.
The Phillip Stokes-trained mare led throughout on debut and although facing more depth, she looks to have talent.
Carrying a light weight is ideal and it would pay to watch late betting markets.
Race 7. (16:21) Leon MacDonald Stakes (1400m)
#9 – Dalasan @ $1.50 – Bet Now
It would be foolish to back against Dalasan because he is clearly the best horse in the race. The four-year-old has over $2.1 million in earnings and he has taken on the best opposition throughout his career.
He finished second behind Behemoth last start and that was an excellent form guide for this race. Behemoth is a favourite to win the Group 1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield.
He finished second in the South Australian Derby and the $1.50 is a fair price given his class.
Race 8. (17:01) Wills & Daniel BM58 (1300m)
#4 – Xingyun – Bet Now
Xingyun was too good for them at Gawler last start, scoring by two lengths after sitting just off the pace.
The Jon O’Connor-trained four-year-old looks like a type that could rise through the grades and this field doesn’t run deep on quality.
Punters should get value odds on race day.
Race 9. (17:40) Accolade Wines BM64 (1250m)
#6 – Galahad Guru – Bet Now
Galahad Guru has only one win to his name but the five-year-old owns plenty of ability.
The son of Camelot has finished close behind some talented types and that was a quality resuming run last time out.
His only career win came second-up and that bodes well for a good run in the final race of the day. Watch the market for any positive betting moves.
