Morphettville horse racing tips

Race 1. (13:16) Nuggets Bucks Show 1MW (1000m)

#1 – The Mobot @ $2.25 – Bet Now

The Mobot is a classy filly on her day, and the daughter of Uncle Mo could strike back here. She finished fourth at Sandown fresh up, but she was always going to need the run.

She was good enough to win four consecutive races and it takes a good type to do that. Include the filly in selections and her odds should remain steady.

Race 2. (13:51) Soul Growers BM66 (1400m)

#2 – Sophia’s Choice @ $2.60 – Bet Now

The three-year-old filly is coming off a nice run for second and her top-end ability is better than most in this race.

She’s a well-bred daughter of Fastnet Rock that owns two wins and two second placings from only six starts. It’s tough to overlook that record and we’re expecting a tidy effort this Saturday.

The $2.60 is worth including in your racing bets.

Race 3. (14:26) Nutella Palooza 4/4 BM68 (1950m)

#6 – Iknow Where Youliv @ $5.50 – Bet Now

Winning form is good form for Iknow Where Youliv, which has rattled off wins at Bordertown and Balaklava. The three-year-old rises in grade for this but he looks capable of handling it.

Getting only 54kg on his back helps and drawing barrier two should see him right in the finish. We’re expecting a nice effort.

Race 4. (15:01) Barossa Fine Foods Maiden (1000m)

#11 – Zoushine @ $2.50 – Bet Now

Team McEvoy lines up the two-year-old filly by Zoustar, which comes into this race with a trial win at Cranbourne.

The half-length trial win holds her in good stead for this race, and the trainers have a good record in Adelaide.

Wach for any late betting moves, but they should be in her favour.

Race 5. (15:36) Holdfast Insurance Maiden (1250m)

#11 – Intrigue @ $2.60 – Bet Now

Another runner for Team McEvoy, Intrigue is a filly that has placed in all three career starts to date. She wasn’t beaten far when second at The Valley last start, and she should find this easier.

The daughter of Deep Field made up good ground from the back and we’re expecting another tidy effort this time around.

She gets a light weight and she should produce a good effort.

Race 6. (16:16) My Pool Guru BM68 (1400m)

#1 – Casino Fourteen @ $10 – Bet Now

It can be hard to follow Casino Fourteen but he’s a winner of three from 11 and should be respected at the odds.

The five-year-old by Casino Prince is a past winner fresh up, so having been off the scene since August shouldn’t do him much harm.

He’s worth including in selections at the odds.

Race 7. (16:56) Dominant BM68 (1300m)

#1 – She’s Beneficial @ $4.20 – Bet Now

She’s Beneficial scored a good win two back and she wasn’t all that far away last start. She is a past winner at Morphettville, and she was only a length behind them last start.

Overall, she has five wins and five placings to boast. It’s a good record and she’s capable of handling a field like this.

Race 8. (17:36) Festival of Racing BM64 (1250m)

#9 – Really Discreet @ $3.30 – Bet Now

The Phillp Stokes-trained filly has class but she struggled to show that last campaign. She ran against some tough types in Melbourne, but more was expected.

Dropping back to BM64 level should see her form turn around and punters have identified her as a horse to beat.

The $3.30 odds will likely drop.

Race 9. (18:10) Adelaide Galvanising R58 Handicap (1550m)

#1 – Rapid Raiser @ $2.20 – Bet Now

Coming off a win at Murray Bridge, Rapid Raiser looks tough to beat in this race. The four-year-old has finished in the first three in five of his nine starts, which is a nice record.

He gets some help with the big weight and this field isn’t very deep, and he could take advantage of that.
