Morphettville horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:41) Delnorth BM80 (2000m)
#2 – Flow Meter @ $6 – Bet Now
Flow Meter is certainly an experience runner with an incredible 123 starts to his name. The 10-year-old has been going close without winning recently so punters shouldn’t rule him out.
Small fields often produce upset results and although winning at $6 wouldn’t be an upset, he could beat the odds-on favourite.
Worth taking the punt on.
Race 2. (14:16) Action Line Marketing Plate (1050m)
#3 – Our Playboy @ $4 – Bet Now
Our Playboy hasn’t had any trials leading into this race but has been well-backed to win and that’s a good sign.
The two-year-old colt by Sebring is bred to show early pace and from barrier four, he’s going to get every chance in the run.
Tough field to assess but punters should get a good run for their money.
Race 3. (14:51) Plumbing And Pipeline BM64 (1600m)
#5 – Sunstone @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Team McEvoy lines up the three-year-old filly which produced a two-length win at Balaklava last time out and could bring that form to the city.
The daughter of Proisir started her career with consecutive second placings before putting it all together last time out.
She faces only a small field of six here and that’s going to help her chances. Should prove tough to beat and punters are getting good odds.
Race 4. (15:31) ATR Refrigerated Rentals Maiden (1200m)
#8 – Lady Pavli Chenko @ $4 – Bet Now
The three-year-old filly didn’t show much during her first campaign but showed good improvement last time out.
She finished second at Murray Bridge when making up good ground in the straight and she could continue that form here.
Gets into the race with only 55.5kg on her back and has every chance to run well at each-way odds.
Race 5. (16:11) Apex Steel Products BM66 (1800m)
#8 – Raaheeha @ $2.50 – Bet Now
Consistency is a characteristic shown by Raaheeha yet but she clearly has ability on her day.
The three-year-old filly has scored two wins from five starts but hasn’t placed in her other three races.
In fact, she beat only one runner home at her first two career starts. However, she has clearly improved since and could go back-to-back.
54kg on her back and every chance of winning again.
Race 6. (16:51) Bradley Painting Services BM70 (1200m)
#9 – Nasifa @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Bookmakers are offering good odds for a runner which has beaten some nice fields of late.
The five-year-old has dug deep to score consecutive wins coming into this and she demands respect here.
Rising in grade will make it harder but she’s a mare in form and she’s worth sticking with at the odds.
Race 7. (17:31) Roadside Marion (1200m)
#1 – Captain Punch @ $5 – Bet Now
Captain Punch ended his last campaign with a win at Darwin and that form could hold up well enough in Adelaide.
The eight-year-old is a professional winner of 12 from 32 starts and although yet to win here, he has placed on this track.
His best asset is his fresh up record of nine starts for four wins and two second placings. It’s tough to overlook that statistic.
There won’t be much between this field and he could head them home.
Race 8. (18:10) North East Isuzu BM75 (1600m)
#2 – Starouz @ $5 – Bet Now
Starouz comes into this having scored nicely at Morphettville last start and he could make it two in a row.
Trained by the Price/Kent combination, the son of Zoustar enjoyed the easing of class last start, having raced against the likes of Mr Quickie and Ruban Bleu early on.
Drawing barrier 10 will make it tough but he’s a nice type in the making and could give punters something to cheer about in the last.
