Morphettville horse racing tips

Race 1. (13:16) Fleurieu Milk Company 0MW (1400m)

#2 – Renegade @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Renegade looked much better when running second at Morphettville last start and that form could continue this week.

He is a three-time winner from 18 starts that could score an overdue win in the opening race for punters.

The $2.20 should remain steady throughout the week.

Race 2. (13:51) Dominant Handicap (1400m)

#3 – You Hadme At Hello @ $1.65 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Short odds are available for the favourite, which owns a win and three placings from eight career starts.

The four-year-old mare finished second at Morphettville last time out and it’s only a matter of time before she wins again.

$1.65 is short but with 52kg on her back, her chances are strong.

Race 3. (14:26) Terry Howe Printing Maiden (1000m)

#13 – Siyaadeh @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Siyaadeh is on debut for Team McEvoy after winning a trial at Gawler by a narrow margin. She wasn’t asked to do much in that run, so it bodes well.

The well-bred daughter of Written Tycoon is bred for speed and kicking off her career over 1000m looks ideal.

$4 is worth taking as she could firm to an odds-on quote.

Race 4. (15:05) AAMI BM64 (1550m)

#2 – Cannot Be Serios @ $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Consistency isn’t the strong point of Cannot Be Serios, but the seven-year-old gelding is worth backing here.

The son of Rios owns seven wins and 14 placings, so he has been around the mark throughout. He does tend to produce a bad run, but consider at the each-way quote.

Race 5. (15:45) Furphy C2 Handicap (1000m)

#9 – Fearless Vision @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Fearless Vision was too good for them fresh up and although beaten last start, that came against a stronger field.

The Michael Hickmott-trained filly has made a positive start to her career with two wins from six starts, and with better luck this time around, she should be tough to beat.

Race 6. (16:26) Chris Young’s 50th (1950m)

#9 – Allusion @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The McEvoy-trained gelding is rarely out of the money with three wins and four placings from 10 starts.

It is an impressive record to date and although he’s not well-favoured to win this race, punters are getting value odds.

Drawing barrier 11 makes it tough but he has time to find cover.

Race 7. (17:01) Tab Create Your Calendar Handicap (1250m)

#2 – Magna Bella @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Magna Bella is a four-time winner that is struggling to win a race, but the five-year-old mare is classy at best.

The Clarken-trained daughter of Magnus ran second on this track last start and that should do her confidence plenty of good.

Stick with her at each-way odds.

Race 8. (17:41) Leconfield Viddora Final BM76 (1300m)

#5 – Trip @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Trip is searching for her third consecutive win after scoring at Balaklava and Morphettville at her last two attempts.

The mare by Good Journey has finished in the money in 10 of her 19 starts and that consistency could be rewarded once again.

She loves this track and she demands attention.

Race 9. (18:21) Accolade Wines BM72 (1000m)

#2 – Dimaggio @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Dimaggio finished off nicely to finish second last start and he is more than capable of going one better.

The son of Deep Field owns two wins and two placings from six starts and with fitness under his belt, he could strike in the final race on the card.

$3.10 should shorten throughout the week, so lock in that price.
