Murray Bridge horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:32) Congrats Less & James Maiden (1000m)
#3 – Kusu @ $1.90 – Bet @ Bet365
Kusu has started his career well with back-to-back placings and the son of Hellbent could get off the mark.
The three-year-old wasn’t far behind Eros at Morphettville last start and that form is tough to overlook at this level.
Take the odds-on quote in the opening race.
Race 2. (13:07) F Vella Tyre/Crash Repair BM78 (2500m)
#2 – Saint Eustace – Bet @ Bet365
Saint Eustace was too good for them at Sandown last time out and we fancy his chances of going back-to-back.
The six-year-old son of Tavistock has yet to race at Murray Bridge but his form in Melbourne is good enough to compete at this level.
Getting 1.5kg off his back is ideal.
Race 3. (13:42) Magic Millions BM68 (1600m)
#8 – Revue – Bet @ Bet365
Revue is already a two-time winner from four starts and we think he could remain unbeaten at Murray Bridge.
The four-year-old son of Delago Deluxe won at Mildura last time out and there’s nothing wrong with that form going forward.
Punters could get value odds on race day.
Race 4. (14:17) Weddings @ Bridges Event BM60 (1000m)
#7 – Night of Delight – Bet @ Bet365
Night of Delight kick-started her preparation with an excellent win at Swan Hill and that form checks out.
The five-year-old scored emphatically by 4.8 lengths and that’s not easy to do over such a short distance, so another win could be on the horizon.
Changing stables could have worked the trick.
Race 5. (14:57) Tab BM76 (1400m)
#1 – Eluding @ $4.20 – Bet @ Bet365
Eluding runs his best races fresh up with two wins from three attempts and his best Melbourne form is good enough here.
The McEvoy-trained gelding owns five wins and four placings from 15 starts, including a win and a placing at Murray Bridge.
Punters should snap up the each-way odds.
Race 6. (15:37) Vale Ken Smith Am C1 Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Big Man at Night – Bet @ Bet365
Big Man at Night was too good for them on debut and the son of Dissident could kick on with it.
The Michael Hickmott-trained four-year-old relished the conditions when scoring by two lengths and a repeat could be on the cards.
Bookmakers should offer each-way odds.
Race 7. (16:17) Carlton Draught BM82 (1000m)
#11 – Wolflands @ $6 – Bet @ Bet365
Wolflands looked good when winning at Cranbourne two back before finishing third at Sandown in a tough race.
The Welsh-trained four-year-old was only 1.3 lengths behind them, and although rising up significantly in class, carrying 52kg could make the difference.
Punters get each-way odds to enjoy.
Race 8. (16:52) Dutton’s Easy to do Bus R62 (1200m)
#13 – Intrepid Eagle – Bet @ Bet365
Team McEvoy lines up the debut winner and he could remain unbeaten despite the rise in class.
The three-year-old son of Alpine Eagle won by 1.5 lengths on this track and a repeat sees him win again.
Drawing barrier 12 isn’t ideal but his natural ability could take him close.
Race 9. (17:30) Spry Civil Construction R62 (1200m)
#10 – Tycoon Bucks – Bet @ Bet365
Tycoon Bucks could pay a handy price with bookmakers, and despite being a one-win mare, she’s better than that.
The Andrew Noblet-trained daughter of Written Tycoon didn’t jump well enough to win at Bendigo last start but we’re sticking with her.
Getting a claimer in the saddle helps her chances.
