Murray Bridge horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:47) SRS Security Services BM86 (1000m)

#5 – Heka Express @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Heka Express is shooting for three consecutive wins and she has regained her best form.

The five-year-old mare is unbeaten at her only start at Murray Bridge and with seven wins at the distance, she is well worth backing.

Dropping in weight is another positive, so put on top.

Race 2. (13:22) Happy Birthday Steve Roses BM82 (1600m)

#4 – Hypercane @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Jolly-trained five-year-old didn’t fire last start, but he is good enough to bounce back and he has excuses.

He is a two-time winner at the distance and with only 54.5kg on his back, he has every chance of turning it around.

Punters get fair odds and he could be well-backed on race day.

Race 3. (13:57) Tab Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Marvelous Night @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Marvelous Night finished third on debut at Morphettville and he looks to have plenty of potential.

The three-year-old son of Fiorente is bred to enjoy longer distances, but it shouldn’t take long to win over this distance.

Punters get fair odds and they should shorten.

Race 4. (14:32) Fibre Track BM62 (1200m)

#8 – Madame Louvre @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Madame Louvre wasn’t too far behind in a similar race last start, but she looked much better when winning at Kyneton.

The three-year-old daughter of Capitalist has yet to fire in two starts on a good track, but she has more ability than most in this field.

The each-way odds are well worth snapping up.

Race 5. (15:07) Carlton Draught BM82 (2000m)

#7 – Resurge @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Resurge won at Donald by two lengths three starts back and anything close to that form would be good enough.

The six-year-old gelding has placed in two subsequent runs and with only 54kg on his back, he should have every chance to win.

Take the each-way odds available.

Race 6. (15:47) Irongate BM60 (1800m)

#4 – Charm Slinga @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The three-year-old gelding took seven starts to win, but he gets every chance to go back-to-back.

He won by 1.3 lengths at Gawler and he had good betting support, so punters should enjoy the $5.50 available.

Barrier 14 hurts but getting 3kg helps.

Race 7. (16:27) Jack & Henry West BM72 (1400m)

#1 – Aqueduct @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Aqueduct has never too far away and with four wins from 14 race day starts, he demands respect at this level.

The Michael Hickmott-trained son of Dundeel has yet to finish worse than second from two starts at Murray Bridge, so we like his chances.

We’re happy with the each-way odds available.

Race 8. (17:10) M.M. Book Now BM68 (1200m)

#3 – Heyington Station @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The five-year-old gelding has cost punters plenty this season, but we’re sticking with him for one more run.

He owns three wins at the distance and he runs best on dry tracks, so he should get conditions to suit.

Dropping 3kg with the claim helps and we fancy his chances of scoring an overdue win.

Race 9. (17:55) Foodmont/Mauri BM60 (1000m)

#5 – Delago Lad – Bet @ Sportsbet

Delago Lad scored a win fresh up at Murray Bridge and he wasn’t too far away when fourth last start.

The four-year-old son of Delago Deluxe gets 3kg off his back from Ben Price, who could have a successful day.

Punters should get value odds on race day.
