Murray Bridge horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:01) Isabelle Cappelleri Maiden (900m)
#6 – Hypersonic @ $2.60 – Bet Now
Team McEvoy lines up the three-year-old gelding that looked good at the trials. He won by a half-length at Tatura and that came over Sebrakate.
He is a son of Brazen Beau that has been patiently handled and the expensive sales purchase could make it a winning debut.
Race 2. (12:36) Magic Millions Plate (1200m)
#9 – Daily Spirit @ $3.40 – Bet Now
Daily Spirit has made a consistent start to her career and she could get off the mark here. The two-year-old owns two placings and she has made good ground in both.
Her lack of early barrier speed is a concern but stepping up from 1050m to 1200m is only going to strengthen her winning chances.
Race 3. (13:11) TAB BM68 (2500m)
#7 – Down The Lane @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Grant Young lines up the four-year-old mare that has been in grand form since resuming this campaign.
She showed very little in her debut run but came back from a spell and has since scored a win and four placings.
Carrying a light weight is ideal and she runs at value odds.
Race 4. (13:46) Carlton Draught 3YO (1200m)
#6 – Silver Lining @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Silver Lining is a capable three-year-old filly that can bounce back from a disappointing effort last time out.
The daughter of Akeed Mofeed has won two of her four starts and her best form would take her close in this race.
Second-up syndrome could have stuck last start and she is worth sticking with.
Race 5. (14:21) Fibretrack BM82 (1200m)
#6 – Howlowcanyougo @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Patrick Payne has a good stable and Howlongcanyougo is one of his better horses. The four-year-old has won four of his eight starts and he wasn’t disgraced at Warrnambool last start.
He has won in Adelaide in the past, with the win coming at Morphettville last year. The conditions at Murray Bridge shouldn’t do his chances any harm.
Race 6. (15:01) Weddings at Bridges Centre BM58 (1600m)
#1 – Blow Torch @ $3 – Bet Now
Blow Torch could apply the heat after placing at his last four starts. The McEvoy-trained gelding has been around the mark throughout his career and that consistency is worth noting.
He rises in weight for this run but Jessica Eaton takes some kilos off his back and that will help.
Take the $3 but we wouldn’t suggest taking any lower.
Race 7. (15:41) Henry & Jack West BM72 (1800m)
#7 – Eluding @ $2.45 – Bet Now
Eluding is a nice type that has won two of his four starts. The McEvoy-trained gelding scored easily by 2.5 lengths last start and running on the same track will help.
His debut win came at Ballarat and Victorian form typically stacks up well in Adelaide. He is worth sticking with and he could rise through the grades.
Race 8. (16:21) Finn & Paddy West BM64 (1200m)
#2 – Just Kappy @ $4.80 – Bet Now
There isn’t much between many of these runners and Just Kappy brings consistent form to the table.
The eight-year-old has won or finished second at his last four starts, which includes wins at Morphettville and Strathalbyn.
It is only his third start at Murray Bridge but he is a value runner.
Race 9. (17:00) Irongate BM58 (1000m)
#6 – The Difference @ $3.40 – Bet Now
Team McEvoy has a strong hand on Saturday and they could end the day with The Difference winning.
The son of I Am Invincible didn’t fire at his most recent start at Morphettville, which came last September.
He has had plenty of time to recover and the betting support is a good sign. He could return and the betting suggests that he is forward for this race.
