Murray Bridge horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:55) Irongate Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Winning Weather – Bet Now

The two-year-old filly has been around the mark in all three runs, which includes a win and two second placings.

She was a winner at Murray Bridge two back and having that experience should hold her in good stead for this race.

She was second behind a nice type last start and this is slightly easier.

Race 2. (12:31) Magic Millions BM68 (2000m)

#7 – Office Jim – Bet Now

Office Jim has form around some smart types and he should be able to run well in this grade.

The Anthony Freedman-trained gelding has been in the money in seven of his nine starts, so he is a consistent type.

There are no superstars in this field and he could take advantage.

Race 3. (13:06) Fibretrack BM78 (2500m)

#1 – Mr Monaco – Bet Now

Mr Monaco was a devastating winner at Pakenham last start when scoring by five lengths. It was a big effort and although he rises in class and stays up in weight, he can handle this field.

Trained by Richard Laming, the son of Monaco Consul has performed well in stronger fields in the past and his confidence is up now.

Punters should be able to get each-way odds.

Race 4. (13:46) Gold Cup Friday R62 (1000m)

#5 – Almadrava – Bet Now

Almadrava owns two wins from her last three starts and there is plenty to like about that form. She won by a head at Morphettville last start and she hit the line with purpose.

She won’t get everything her way from barrier 11, but she can drop back and work into the race late. Her ability to pick them up is good and it will come in handy here.

Race 5. (14:26) Bridges Event Centre BM66 (1000m)

#4 – Silver Lining – Bet Now

Silver Lining returned from a spell with a commanding win at Morphettville and she could kick on with it.

The Will Clarken-trained three-year-old made up a stack up ground to beat them late, so there was plenty to like about the performance.

It was her second career win from three starts and she could add to her collection.

Race 6. (15:06) Tab BM66 (1600m)

#3 – Eluding – Bet Now

Eluding was beaten when third last Saturday but he faced a harder field than what he’s up against here.

The McEvoy-trained gelding was a winner on debut at Ballarat before running fifth at Flemington behind a smart type.

This race is there for the taking and getting the inside draw should see him fighting out the finish.

Race 7. (15:46) Carlton Draught Handicap (1200m)

#4 – Dexelation – Bet Now

Dexelation needed the fresh up run and he often runs best with a run or two under the belt.

The Jolly-trained five-year-old is a seven-time winner that owns experience on this track and he also has five wins at this distance.

Sprinting is his caper and from a good barrier draw, punters should be expected a terrific effort at each-way odds.

Race 8. (16:30) Weddings at Bridges BM68 (1600m)

#10 – Elusive Nature – Bet Now

Elusive Nature needs to find her best form but dropping down another level in class should help.

The three-time winner runs best at this distance and although her recent form has been average, she meets an average field here.

It is last-chance saloon for Elusive Nature but she gets one more chance.

Race 9. (17:05) Ash & Paul’s Wedding BM68 (1200m)

#1 – Silent Command – Bet Now

The Nick Smart-trained gelding won his only start at Murray Bridge and it is form that should stack up nicely.

He is having his first run since November and the break should have done him plenty of good. He has run well fresh up in the past and the inside draw should see him run close.

Look for generous odds from bookmakers.
