Murray Bridge horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:56) Irongate BM68 (1200m)

#2 – Somewatt Fabulous @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Somewatt Fabulous scored on debut by 1.3 lengths and the two-year-old is capable of rising through the grades.

The daughter of Astern showed a good turn-of-foot and although it’s a tough field, she looks to have more ability than most.

$2.20 is a fair price and barrier two helps.

Race 2. (12:31) Carlton Draught BM74 (2500m)

#1 – Canford @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Canford is a six-time winner from 35 starts and although yet to win at Murray Bridge, he has had only two attempts.

The son of Canford Cliffs goes best at this distance and he handles all track conditions, so the rain won’t be an issue.

2kg comes off his back and after opening at $2.50, his odds have firmed.

Race 3. (13:06) Paterson’s Bulk Transport Maiden (1000m)

#6 – Mystery Flyer @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Team Corstens lines up the three-year-old filly which looked good when winning a trial at Flemington.

The daughter of Starspangledbanner is a well-related type that has been rock-solid in betting and we’re happy to take the $2.80.

She should be tough to beat.

Race 4. (13:41) Smedley Tyre Service BM68 (1600m)

#9 – En Francais @ $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Short odds are available for the Jake Stephens-trained three-year-old which won on debut at Gawler on debut.

She followed it up with a second placing at Morphettville where she finished only a nose behind the winner. Punters got hurt at short odds, but she shouldn’t be a let down here.

Barrier two is ideal so put her on top.

Race 5. (14:16) Fibretrack BM64 (1000m)

#8 – Hills @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Hills scored a comfortable victory at Morphettville and she’s capable of going back-to-back.

The four-year-old mare is a two-time winner at this distance and we’re not surprised to see money coming for her throughout the week.

It was her third career win from 11 starts and she is the testing material in this field.

Race 6. (14:56) Magic Millions BM64 (1400m)

#8 – Zoist @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Zoist didn’t fire at Morphettville last start but we’re prepared to give him another chance at the odds.

The McEvoy-trained three-year-old is a son of Zoustar that owns two wins from five starts and one of those wins came at Murray Bridge.

Barrier three is ideal and punters get value odds to enjoy.

Race 7. (15:36) Ata SA BM84 (1200m)

#7 – Too Good Too Hard @ $4.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Too Good Too Hard turned her form around when winning at Murray Bridge last time out. It was a nice victory and she’s capable of kicking on with it.

She is a four-time winner at this distance and barrier five should give her a nice drag into the race. That helps and she should be tough to hold out.

Race 8. (16:16) Railway Hotel Tailem Bend BM76 (1600m)

#6 – Pearl Bandit @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Pearl Bandit is a professional six-time winner that has yet to fire on this track, but he has ability on his day.

The son of Rebel Raider comes off a win at Morphettville and he has been heavily backed in early betting markets, which is a good sign.

Punters should take the odds available as they could shorten.

Race 9. (16:55) Weddings @ Bridges Event BM60 (1200m)

#4 – Great Diviner @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Great Diviner scored a win on debut and although yet to win since, he comes off a second placing at Morphettville.

The three-year-old by Shamus Award relies on luck from the back of the field and he’s good enough to handle this field.

Barrier two is ideal and punters get value odds.
