Murray Bridge horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:55) Bridges Event Centre BM64 (1000m)
#5 – All Banter @ $2.30 – Bet Now
All Banter is on debut for Team Jolly and the market push is a good lead. She opened at $2.35 and she has firmed in a half-point.
That’s a good sign for her debut run and getting the inside draw adds to her appeal. We’re expecting a good run on debut.
Race 2. (12:31) Fibretrack Maiden Plate (1200m)
#14 – Wicked Whitt @ $4.80 – Bet Now
Wicked Whitt opened her career with consecutive second placings. She hasn’t gone as close since but the potential is there.
She shouldn’t take long to break maiden grades and despite drawing barrier 11, the daughter of Whittington only needs luck.
Punters are getting each-way odds so consider.
Race 3. (13:06) Carlton Draught BM68 (1400m)
#1 – Open Minded @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Open Minded won his first three starts before running fifth behind Final Man last start. That came on a very heavy track, so we’re prepared to overlook that run.
The son of Jimmy Choux gets some weight relief from his posted 62.5kg, which is going to help his turn-of-foot.
$4.40 is a value price that should be taken.
Race 4. (13:46) Gold Cup Friday BM64 (1600m)
#10 – Coolth @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Team McEvoy lines up the three-year-old gelding that won by three lengths on debut. He sat at the back of the field and stormed home late, so it was a terrific debut effort.
The son of Dundeel looks to have a high ceiling and although drawing barrier 14 isn’t ideal, he could have this field covered nicely.
$4.60 is worth any risk.
Race 5. (14:21) Irongate BM78 (1800m)
#11 – Manzala @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Manzala is running well this season with two wins and a second placing. The four-year-old ran well when second last start and that form stacks up nicely for this race.
There is money coming for the son of Poet’s Voice and from barrier three, he should be able to find a more forward position in the field.
Race 6. (15:01) Magic Millions BM72 (1000m)
#10 – Symphonette @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Forget Symphonette went around last start as she got given no chance in the run. The four-year-old mare was trapped behind the runners for the entire trip last week.
Punters get a chance to seek redemption here and although she has been expensive this season, she’s worth one more go.
The $4.60 is well worth taking.
Race 7. (15:41) Weddings at Bridges BM68 (1400m)
#3 – Jacobite Prince @ $4 – Bet Now
Phillip Stokes lines up the gelding that scored an impressive win at Morphettville last time out.
The son of Choisir is a four-time winner from seven starts and he drops in grade for this. He won in benchmark 80 grade last start and that bodes well for this race.
Punters are getting value odds at his current price.
Race 8. (16:21) Tab BM82 (1200m)
#10 – Enough Swagger @ $5 – Bet Now
Enough Swagger is a professional seven-time winner from 17 starts and she won her only start at Murray Bridge.
The daughter of Love Conquers All hasn’t raced since February and she owns a win and a placing in a fresh state.
It bodes well for a good run and she gets some weight off her back. The $5 is a fair price and it could firm throughout the week.
Race 9. (17:00) Christmas Cup BM60 (1200m)
#11 – Harpuna @ $3 – Bet Now
Harpuna didn’t get all favours last start but he could bounce back nicely. The three-year-old won on debut at Ararat and that form should be good enough.
After markets opened, he has firmed from $3.70 to $3. It is a good betting guide and he could run up to those expectations.
