Murray Bridge Racing Tips for Saturday, May 23rd 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Murray Bridge on Saturday, which includes nine races at the premier meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the South Australian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (12:02) B & L Cox Electrical BM78 (2000m)

#3 – Burning Bright @ $4.00

Money has come for Burning Bright to win after mixing her form this preparation, but she’s a nice type on her day.

The five-year-old mare by Fiorente has yet to fire in five attempts at Murray Bridge, which isn’t ideal, but she could turn that form around.

The $4 odds are worth the risk in the opening race.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (12:37) Smedley Tyre Service Maiden (1200m)

#13 – Word Game @ $2.25

The three-year-old filly has been well-backed to win after running fourth on debut at Morphettville before spelling.

She comes off a tidy trial placing at Murray Bridge, and having experience on the track could be enough to take her close.

Her odds have been smashed, so it could pay to follow the money.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (13:12) Daish Irrigation & Fodder BM68 (1100m)

#3 – Like a Drifter @ $2.90

Gunning for three consecutive wins is Like a Drifter, who scored at Murray Bridge fresh up, which is a good form guide.

The three-year-old son of Omaha Beach won by 3.8 lengths last time out, which is the best form guide for this BM68 race.

Getting 3kg off his back helps, so he should give punters a good sight.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 4. (13:47) Ahrns Electrical BM82 (1200m)

#8 – I Am Velvet @ $4.20

Seeking back-to-back wins is I Am Velvet, who pulled out all the stops when winning at Morphettville last time out.

The four-year-old daughter of I Am Immortal owns five wins from 14 starts overall, and she has always been a confidence runner.

She gets the inside draw with 55.5kg on her back, so everything points towards a victory.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (14:22) Chapman Heavy Mechanical BM76 (1600m)

#10 – Phineas @ $8.50

Running at value odds is Phineas, who scored impressively at Morphettville last time out.

The four-year-old son of Shamus Award has yet to run at Murray Bridge, but it’s a track that should suit him, and barrier five is an ideal draw.

Take the value odds available with bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (14:57) PLC Fencing BM64 (900m)

#1 – Streetcar Fury @ $2.10

Streetcar Fury won well fresh up at Murray Bridge, and although he didn’t win last time out, returning to this track adds to his appeal.

He’s unbeaten in three attempts at Murray Bridge, which is why he has been given a big weight, but he gets a 2kg apprentice in the saddle to help.

He will need luck from the wide draw, but he has early speed to burn.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (15:37) River Landscapes Handicap (1800m)

#11 – Mr Trafficanti @ $11.00

Mr Trafficanti won by 3.3 lengths at Gawler last start, and with his confidence levels rising, he’s worth backing again at bigger odds.

The seven-year-old son of Turn Me Loose is a past winner at Murray Bridge, and getting into this race with 53kg doesn’t hurt his chances.

He should figure in the finish at double-figure odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (16:17) Mulch N More BM68 (1100m)

#11 – Major Rumble @ $6.00

Major Rumble showed consistency last preparation when posting a win and two placings, and he could hit the ground running this campaign.

The four-year-old son of Capitalist is a two-time winner at Murray Bridge from three attempts, so he loves this circuit.

Getting 3kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 9. (16:55) Mosel Surveyors BM70 (1400m)

#3 – Sought After @ $8.50

Sought After needs to turn his form around, but we’re giving the former Kiwi another chance.

The four-year-old son of Tivaci was considered good enough to run in some tough races across the Tasman, so the ability is there.

$8.50 is good enough to include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit
