Nowra racing tips

Race 1. (13:10) Superior Turf Solutions Maiden (1400m)

#5 – Angel City

Angel City showed good form to start her career with placings at Kembla Grange and Goulburn, which is a good form guide.

The three-year-old filly by Harry Angel didn’t fire at Nowra last time out, but she didn’t handle the heavy track conditions one bit.

She could resume from a spell with a top performance.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (13:50) Shire Law C4 (1200m)

#2 – Cando Attitude

Boasting an unbeaten record is Cando Attitude, who scored wins at Moruya, Nowra, and Wagga.

The three-year-old filly by D’argento won by 1.3 lengths last time out, which was an excellent return from a spell.

Getting 1.5kg off her back is enough to take her close.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 3. (14:35) Stroud Homes Maiden (1100m)

#2 – Mr Bazza

It’s not a strong maiden field, and Mr Bazza has enough speed to exit maiden grades on Sunday.

The four-year-old son of Lord of the Sky ran second at Tamworth two starts ago, and he wasn’t far away when fourth last time out.

Weight comes off his back, so punters should be confident.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 4. (15:15) Bella Pizza C1 (1600m)

#6 – Sinister

Looking for back-to-back wins is Sinister, who won by a length at Newcastle last time out.

The three-year-old son of Savabeel could rise through the grades this preparation, and we expect money to come for him.

The Baker stable is hot, so he’s worth including in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (15:50) Kel Campbell Fuel Haulage BM58 (1100m)

#2 – Abstruse

The five-year-old mare by Sidestep is gunning for back-to-back wins after scoring by a nose at Sapphire Coast.

She owns three wins and 12 placings from 34 starts, and punters always get a good sight with the consistent mare.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:30) Power FM BM58 (1400m)

#3 – Royalify

The five-year-old gelding by Justify won well at Beaumont fresh up before finishing fifth at Orange last time out.

He has yet to race at Nowra, but with a recent win in Newcastle, his form stacks up nicely for this level of racing.

We’re including him in our picks for a small wager.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (17:10) Country Motor Maiden (1200m)

#9 – Kennedy Compound

Coming in with good trial form is Kennedy Compound, who scored trials win at Warwick Farm and Hawkesbury.

The three-year-old filly by The Autumn Sun is in good hands with Baker, and we expect money to come for her on race day.

Winona Costin is riding well, which boosts our confidence.

Stake: 2 Units
