Pinjarra horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (15:29) Tabtouch Westspeed (1300m)
#1 – Special Sort
Special Sort is better for having a run under his belt this preparation, which was a fourth at Geraldton.
The five-year-old owns five wins and five placings from 20 starts, so he knows how to win and he’s good enough to beat this field.
Getting 2kg off his back adds to our confidence.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 2. (16:04) Widdlesons Hire Service BM72 (1000m)
#4 – Pin Deep
Based on his fresh up win at Bunbury, Pin Deep should be tough to hold out at Pinjarra on Saturday.
The four-year-old gelding by Deep Field owns a win and placing from two starts at the track, so returning to this track is right up his alley.
Getting the inside draw helps and we’re taking any odds.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 3. (16:43) Thoroughbred Breeders WA BM66 (1200m)
#10 – Supernatural
Running down in the weights is Supernatural, who is already a two-time winner this preparation.
The three-year-old filly by Sessions won at Pinjarra four starts back before winning and placing at Ascot.
Her most recent run at Bunbury was only fair but that came against some smart types and she could find this slightly easier.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 4. (17:23) Gannon’s Sportswear BM66 (2000m)
#10 – Stormageddon
Each-way value could be with Stormageddon, who has been threatening to win races this season.
The son of So You Think owns two wins and eight placings from 17 starts, so there is nothing wrong with his overall record.
Carrying a light weight is ideal, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (18:00) Geisel Park Stud 1MW (1400m)
#3 – Missile Storm
Missile Storm owns three wins from his last five starts, including a last-start win at Bunbury by just under a length.
The five-year-old son of Smart Missile has yet to win over the distance but we’re prepared to give him another chance.
We expect shorter odds this time around.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 6. (18:35) Splintex BM72 (1400m)
#10 – King’s Salute
King’s Salute is better for two runs back from a spell, and he owns a win and a placing from three attempts at Pinjarra.
The four-year-old son of King’s Troop ended last preparation with a win and he’s good enough to get back to winning form.
55.5kg on his back is enough to take him close.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 7. (19:10) Magic Millions WA Classic (1200m)
#8 – Strideaway @ $3.30
Strideaway owns two wins and a placing from four starts, including a good win fresh up at Ascot when beating Do I Feel Lucky.
The two-year-old filly by Alabama Express is bred for speed and she could be a smart type in the making.
We’re happy with the $3.30 odds from bookmakers.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 8. (19:45) Magic Millions 3YO Trophy (1200m)
#4 – Shmoov Moova @ $3.00
Shmoov Moova is living up to his name after winning his last two starts at Ascot, including beating Supernatural by 1.5 lengths.
He paid $1.45 when winning last start, so punters get better odds, and he’s good enough to cope with the harder field.
Take the odds before they shorten on race day.
Stake: 4 Units
Race 9. (20:20) Tabtouch 1MW (1000m)
#2 – Bonnie Lad
Bonnie Lad is getting close to posting a win after finishing second at Geraldton last time out, and he’s good enough to cope with this field.
The son of Snippetson is a four-time winner over the distance and he could settle handy and finish over the top of this field.
Weight comes off his back, so we’re happy to include him in picks.
Stake: 2 Units
