#3 - The Big Ticket @ $19.00
There is a $1.16 favourite in the race, but there is better value in backing The Big Ticket at much bigger odds.
The Tom Higgins-trained gelding owns only one placing from 23 starts, but he’s trained on the track, and he’s on the quick back-up.
We believe he could be the best of the rest, so the place odds could be attractive.

#5 - Brown Sugar @ $4.40
Looking to make a winning debut is Brown Sugar, who placed in a recent trial at Wyong.
The three-year-old filly by Pierata is bred to show something early, and there has been steady betting support since markets opened.
That’s a good sign, so she goes into the mix.

Race 3. (15:05) Cellarbrations Maiden (1500m)
#4 - Talk About Layla @ $2.30
Talk About Layla has been good in two career starts for two placings, and she should measure up nicely against this field.
The three-year-old daughter of Microphone has good tactical speed, and rising to 1500m should only help her chances of breaking through.
The odds are worth including in horse racing picks.

Race 4. (15:40) Settlers Inn BM58 (1000m)
#7 - She’s a Wild One @ $4.80
Winning form is good form for this race, and She’s a Wild One was too fast for them at Taree.
The Colt Prosser-trained mare scored by a length, and although the field wasn’t red hot, it was a win that should give her confidence.
Punters get $4.80 from bookies, so she’s worth backing each-way.

Race 5. (16:20) Tacking Point Tavern BM58 (2000m)
#5 - Seething Chuck @ $11.00
Seething Cluck could go under the radar on race day, and his fourth at Coffs Harbour last time out was a solid effort in defeat.
That followed a win at Wauchope, and although that’s not that strongest form going around, it should be good enough to be competitive here.
After opening at $14, he has been supported, which is a good sign.

Race 6. (16:55) Flower Hotels BM66 (1500m)
#10 - Naughty Nurse @ $5.50
Naughty Nurse turned her form around with a much better run for second at Muswellbrook, and patient punters could be rewarded.
The four-year-old mare by Russian Revolution is a past winner at Port Macquarie and being from the Lees stable helps.
If she gets luck from out wide, her winning form could return.

Race 7. (17:35) Lake Cathie Tavern C1 (1100m)
#5 - Shotgun Bella @ $1.90
We’re taking the short odds for Shotgun Bella, who won on debut at Tamworth before placing in two subsequent starts.
All her racing has come at Tamworth, but she had a recent trial at Beaumont when running second, and that’s a good sign.
Getting the inside draw helps, and she could run through multis.
