Queen of the Turf Stakes Form Guide & Tips
A champion mare who dug deep to place last time out. We’re never sure what she will produce, but she will head forward and look to run them into the ground.
If she clears out by 5+ lengths, that’s her best chance of winning, so don’t leave her out.
She ran in The Everest and now steps up to the mile. It looks suitable for her after being right behind some nice types this campaign.
If she settles back in the field with a genuine tempo, she has the best turn-of-foot to run down the leaders.
It was good seeing her back to her best in Melbourne last start when scoring by two lengths, and she has every chance of taking out the Queen of the Turf Stakes.
She won her only start at Randwick, and she is a proven Group 1 winner, so we’re including her in our picks at each-way odds.
A nice enough type on her day, as she showed last time out when scoring a gutsy win. We’re happy to include her as a first four pick, but she will need to find a couple of lengths to be considered a winning hope.
The former Kiwi won three of her four starts last time in work, but this is a tough fresh up effort. We would have preferred seeing her in something much easier.
She is another former Kiwi who is deserving of Group 1 success in Australia. Her best races come when she rides the speed, so she could settle handier to the pace this time around.
We’re happy to include her in our Group 1 racing tips, and if she is anywhere near her best, she could put them away.
The five-year-old has regained her best form this preparation, which is great to see. However, this is a harder race, and we don’t expect her to figure in the finish.
She is always well-backed to score, and money has come for her again following a win at Rosehill.
We have yet to see her take on this level of opposition, and she isn’t suited by the weights. The $6 is far too short for our liking, but we’re including her in first four picks.
Not too far away this preparation, but she has been facing much easier fields. Unlikely to look the winner at any stage.
She didn’t fire when ninth last time out, and we can’t see that form turning around for the better.
Not the same horse that she used to be, which is disappointing. The odds tell the story.
It would be a massive upset if she were to finish in the first three.
Only fair behind Idle Flyer last start, and she needs to find 4-5 lengths.
The only filly in the race, but she could struggle to bounce back from a poor effort last start.
