Randwick horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:10) Widden Kindergarten Stakes (1100m)
#1 – Rulership @ $3.60 – Bet Now
After from its defeat in the Blue Diamond Stakes, Rulership has excellent form for this race.
The two-year-old colt beat a quality field by 2.3 lengths on debut at Randwick before running second behind Hanseatic.
He only battled in the Blue Diamond, but he has been given time to rest and he will appreciate the ease in opposition.
Race 2. (12:45) Quincy Seltzer Carbine Club Stakes (1600m)
#3 – Reloaded @ $1.95 – Bet Now
The Chris Waller-trained colt ran third behind Group 1 favourite Castelvecchio last start, which is great form for this race.
We’re not surprised to see the short odds here, despite the fact that he has won only one of his seven starts.
Punters are expecting a top effort here and from barrier two, he should be a fraction too good for this quality field.
Race 3. (13:20) Newhaven Park Country Championships Final (1400m)
#2 – Two Big Fari @ $8 – Bet Now
Two Big Fari doesn’t know how to run a bad race and if he drew better than 20, he’d be the favourite.
The four-year-old gelding has won five of his seven starts, which includes two second placings. It’s tough to overlook that form and he owns a nice turn-of-foot.
He might try cross the field from barrier 20, or Brenton Avdulla could ride him for luck and hope for the best.
Race 4. (13:55) Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m)
#2 – Paradee @ $4 – Bet Now
Paradee is coming off consecutive wins and they were both quality outings. She defeated Diasonic at Flemington two back before winning at Moonee Valley.
Both races are good form guides for the rest of the season and she should love the rise in distance.
Hugh Bowman should be able to find a spot with cover from barrier 12, and she’ll be saved up for one last run at them.
$4 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Race 5. (14:35) Schweppes Chairman’s Quality (2600m)
#5 – Carif @ $4.80 – Bet Now
Carif has been threatening to win his third race and although it has been a while between drinks, he’s capable.
The Snowden-trained four-year-old ran fifth behind Verry Elleegant last start and he was run off his feet a touch.
Stepping up to 2600m is ideal and he owns two placings from two starts over this distance. It bodes well for a return to form, so the $4.80 is a value price.
Race 10. (17:50) De Bortoli Wines P.J Bell Stakes (1200m)
#2 – Rubisaki @ $2.30 – Bet Now
Rubisaki is a Group 1 winner in the making, but it’s good to see connections handling her with care.
The three-year-old filly has won six of her eight starts, but is yet to contest a Group 1 feature. However, she won a rich race at Warwick Farm in February, and that form holds up well.
Her win at Flemington last start was phenomenal and we would be surprised if she wasn’t fighting out the finish.
Punters will have to take short odds but her opening odds of $2.60 have already firmed. She could start as the odds-on favourite.
