Randwick horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:55) Everest Carnival On Sale BM78 (1400m)
#3 – All Saints’ Eve – Bet Now
All Saints’ Eve hasn’t done much wrong throughout her career and she could make a winning return on Saturday.
The four-year-old mare by Sacred Falls is a two-time winner from six starts and she has yet to miss a placing over this distance.
Punters could get each-way odds in a small field.
Race 2. (12:30) Tab Highway Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Niccirose – Bet Now
Niccirose is coming off a win at Randwick and that came by six lengths, so she is the class runner of this field.
The Scott Singleton-trained gelding relished the heavy conditions to destroy the field and she won’t find this any harder.
Due to the evenness of the Highway races, punters should be getting good odds.
Race 3. (13:05) Schweppes BM88 (1100m)
#7 – Masked Crusader @ $1.55 – Bet Now
Money is with Masked Crusader which isn’t surprising given his talent. The Hawkes-trained star has won three of his four starts and all in fine style.
He won at Randwick by three lengths in May before heading out for a spell. His recent trial at Rosehill was good and although he meets a rock-fit Varda, he has the class edge.
$1.55 is a fair price given that he carries only 55.5kg.
Race 4. (13:40) Ranvet BM72 (1100m)
#1 – Best Stone – Bet Now
Best Stone has been patiently handled this preparation after winning at Canterbury in July. She has been saved for this race and that bodes well for a good run.
The John Thompson-trained mare has finished in the money in eight of her nine starts to date and that is a tidy record.
Punters should be able to get juicy odds against this field and she is worth entertaining.
Race 5. (14:20) Premier’s Cup Prelude (1800m)
#3 – Grey Lion @ $13 – Bet Now
Big money is coming for Grey Lion at a price and it could be worth following. The former import is better for two runs in this campaign and that fitness could give him an edge.
The nine-year-old opened at $19 and has been met with support at every stage throughout the betting. His odds could firm into a single-figure quote on race day, so take the $13 available now.
Race 6. (15:00) Sky Racing Active BM78 (1000m)
#7 – De Grawin @ $4.80 – Bet Now
De Grawin is running well this preparation and she is shooting for four consecutive wins.
This is clearly her biggest test to date but the daughter of Snitzel is in career-best form and she gets some things in her favour.
Drawing the inside barrier with only 54kg on her back is ideal and $4.80 is a fair price for her to win.
Race 7. (15:40) Quincy Seltzer Up & Coming Stakes (1300m)
#2 – North Pacific @ $2.25 – Bet Now
The Hawkes-trained three-year-old is coming off an impressive win at Rosehill and punters have climbed aboard.
He scored by 2.5 lengths in the heavy conditions and that came against some nice types, so that form measures up well.
James McDonald rides off the inside draw and he will be tough to beat from there.
Race 8. (16:20) Spring Preview Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Shared Ambition @ $5.50 – Bet Now
The Chris Waller-trained five-year-old is classy at best and he could make a winning start to his season.
He is a professional winner of six from 10 starts and his recent trial placing could be a sign of things to come.
Shared Ambition finds form quickly and the 1400m should suit on Saturday.
Race 9. (17:00) Heineken BM78 (1400m)
#5 – Off Shaw @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Off Shaw is going for three consecutive wins following victories at Kembla Grange and Randwick.
The Bjorn Baker-trained five-year-old won by a half-length at Randwick and that win should hold him in good stead for this race.
Punters are getting each-way odds and they are worth taking in the last.
