Randwick horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:00) Gold Coast T.C Trophy BM78 (2400m)

#2 – Desert Path @ $3.50 – Bet Now

Desert Path is coming off a win at Rosehill and he will handle these conditions. The win came on the heavy track and he cleared out to score by 2.3 lengths.

The Chris Waller-trained runner has yet to win from three attempts at Randwick but he owns two placings.

James McDonald rides and he should give Desert Path a good sight.

Race 2. (12:35) Tab Highway Handicap (1100m)

#15 – Pinnacle Prince @ $5 – Bet Now

Pinnacle Prince did enough on debut when scoring by a half-length and he could remain unbeaten.

The three-year-old colt was heavily backed on debut and punters are getting a better price this time around.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and 54kg on the back helps.

Race 3. (13:10) Heineken BM78 (1600m)

#2 – New King @ $3.40 – Bet Now

Matthew Dale lines up the former European that scored by 1.3 lengths at Rosehill last start. He was always going to need his resuming run and he showed his class in heavy conditions.

He is a well-bred son of Frankel and if he is a true wet-track type, he should relish the conditions and be tough to get past again.

Race 4. (13:45) Darley Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m)

#7 – Kaakit Akit @ $11 – Bet Now

Punters are getting good value for a runner that didn’t get all favours last start. The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly was a winner on debut at Randwick and that is a much better form guide.

She defeated a quality field and her two trials efforts this preparation have been good. She has won and placed from two trials, and there was plenty to like.

$11 is a good price and she could cause an upset.

Race 5. (14:25) Mostyn Copper Show County (1200m)

#10 – Roheryn @ $6 – Bet Now

Roheryn flew home to narrowly miss at Rosehill last start and that followed an impressive fresh-up win at Rosehill.

The James Cummings-trained gelding gets into this race ideally on the weights at 53kg. He is facing a top-class field but his turn-of-foot will be aided by the weight.

Punters are getting great odds and they are worth taking.

Race 6. (15:05) Bowermans Toy Show Quality (1100m)

#6 – Adelong @ $2 – Bet Now

Adelong is gunning for four consecutive wins after scoring by 2.3 lengths at Rosehill last time out.

The Brad Widdup-trained mare has yet to finish worse than second from eight starts and her consistency has rewarded punters to date.

Carrying 53.5kg is ideal and we are not surprised by the short odds.

Race 8. (16:25) Tab BM88 (1400m)

#16 – Minted @ $5 – Bet Now

Minted comes into this race having finished second behind Tailleur and that should be a good form guide.

The Joe Pride-trained gelding owns two wins from seven starts and although facing a tough field, dropping to 52kg is ideal.

That is a light weight and he could make them pay.

Race 9. (17:05) Cactus Imaging BM78 (1200m)

#9 – Icebath @ $5.50 – Bet Now

Icebath showed plenty of talent in the autumn and she could be in for a good spring. The Widdup-trained mare won back-to-back races before facing some tough fields.

She was desperately unlucky in those races and the daughter of Sacred Falls could make a winning start this season.

$5.50 is a good each-way price for punters and that price could firm.
