Randwick horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (13:25) Casino Prince @ Vinery Maiden (1300m)
#7 – Psychic – Bet Now
The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old has an impressive turn-of-foot and the rise in distance helps her chances.
She has settled back in two runs to date and flown home on both occasions. Her effort to run second at Canterbury last start was fantastic and her recent trial was solid.
She finished second in a Rosehill trial and with James McDonald in the saddle, she is the leading Waller-trained runner.
Race 2. (14:00) Frosted @ Darley Maiden (1100m)
#11 – Iconically – Bet Now
The run of Psychic in Race 1 will be a good guide for Ironically. She defeated Fortune Seeker at the trials, which subsequently defeated Psychic at the trials.
The three-year-old daughter of Zoustar owns two wins at the trials, including back-to-back wins at Rosehill.
Her trial form is impressive so don’t expect long odds.
Race 3. (14:35) 2020 Yulong Stallions BM72 (1250m)
#6 – Criaderas – Bet Now
James Cummings lines up the unbeaten gelding that makes his season debut. The son of Lonhro scored a maiden win at Newcastle before posting another win at Kembla Grange.
He meets a more open field here and his trial form leading into this race has been only fair. However, he wasn’t asked for much and the jockey is a key booking.
James McDonald rides and that will drive the price down considerably.
Race 4. (15:10) Sky Racing Active BM72 (1550m)
#1 – Badoosh – Bet Now
Badoosh is coming off an impressive midweek win at Warwick Farm and he looks good enough to go back-to-back.
The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding has been in the money in nine of his 14 starts, so he is a consistent type.
Handling the heavy track won’t be an issue and each-way odds should be available from bookmakers.
Race 5. (15:45) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (1100m)
#2 – Big Parade – Bet Now
Big Parade is a quality four-year-old that could make a winning return here. The son of Deep Field owns two wins and two second placings from five starts, which is a good start to his career.
He is unbeaten from two fresh-up starts, so he doesn’t need a run to find his best form. That bodes well for punters on Wednesday and having Tom Sherry take weight off his back helps.
Securing barrier two was ideal and despite facing a tough field, he looks the hardest to get past.
Race 6. (16:20) Heineken BM72 (1400m)
#7 – Suave – Bet Now
Suave is a smooth customer that has been getting closer with every run this preparation. The Cummings-trained gelding ran third at Warwick Farm last start and he should continue to improve.
He is a son of Lonhro that won his first two starts to the races. He hasn’t won since but he has form behind the likes of Jen Rules and Badoosh.
It isn’t an easy contest so expect each-way odds.
Race 7. (16:55) Tab BM72 (1250m)
#4 – Archanna – Bet Now
Archanna is a hype runner that defied a betting drift when winning with class on debut.
The Waller-trained mare was the beaten odds-on favourite at Randwick last start but not everything went her way in the run.
Her return is eagerly-awaited by many and betting will hold the key. James McDonald rides and that should be a good indication of how forward she is.
