We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday at Randwick that features seven quality betting races.
There is always quality racing to enjoy out of Randwick and we have our best value tips available.
Randwick horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (14:20) Stud & Stable Staff Awards Maiden (1100m)
#10 – Trifaccia @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The James Cummings-trained filly has shown speed at the trials and punters should be expecting a good debut effort.
She scored a trial win at Rosehill before finishing second at Randwick. We’re expecting that form to stack up nicely and only the wide barrier draw is of concern.
Her opening odds of $7 have been smashed, which is a confident sign from the stable.
Race 2. (14:55) Vinery Stud Maiden Handicap (1400m)
#2 – Lady of Luxury @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Lady of Luxury comes off three consecutive placings and there was plenty to like about her most recent effort.
The three-year-old finished second on this track and that followed up from a second placing in the Magic Millions Maiden behind subsequent winner Newsreader.
She has quality form and we’re not surprised by the big bets coming her way.
Race 3. (15:30) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (1800m)
#2 – Guise @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Guise could have the class edge over this field and she showed that when scoring at Randwick last time out.
The five-year-old daughter of So You Think is a six-time winner that got back to her best in this grade earlier this month.
She showed a good turn-of-foot to get the job done and with James McDonald riding on Wednesday, her chances of scoring again are high.
Race 4. (16:05) Robrick Lodge BM72 (1400m)
#8 – Grenado @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Grenado handled conditions best at Canterbury last time out and he could repeat the dose against a harder field.
The Waller-trained three-year-old won by 1.8 lengths going away from the field, so we’re expecting another top effort with only 55.5kg on his back.
It’s another quality ride for James McDonald and his booking is a good sign for punters.
Race 5. (16:40) Heineken BM72 (1550m)
#6 – Marsannay @ $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Marsannay has rattled off four consecutive third placings and he looks like a good chance to improve on those efforts.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained three-year-old is a two-time winner from eight starts, and his most recent placing at Rosehill is a good form guide.
Drawing the inside barrier is ideal for a runner going forward and we’re not surprised by the early support coming his way.
Race 6. (17:15) Street Boss @ Darley BM72 (1000m)
#11 – Irish Angel @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Irish Angel has become a frustrating runner for punters, but we’re giving the Waller-trained mare another chance.
The daughter of Not A Single Doubt comes off a second placing at Warwick Farm behind Marway, and punters get better odds for Irish Angel on this occasion.
She gets the inside draw with a light weight, so she doesn’t get a better chance to notch her second career win.
Race 7. (17:50) Tab BM72 (1400m)
#6 – Brookspire @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Brookspire comes off a win at Randwick and it has become an extremely good form race. She finished ahead of Exoboom, which has subsequently won multiple races.
The daughter of Hinchinbrook wasn’t asked for much in a recent trial at Randwick and the wide draw is our only concern.
However, running over 1400m gives her time to find cover and let down for a big run in the straight.
