We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday at Randwick that features eight quality betting races.
The tracks in Sydney are drying up and that’s good news for punters as we have a great betting card this week.
Randwick horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (13:45) Tab Venue Mode Maiden (1100m)
#4 – Centimental – Bet Now
The Chris Waller-trained filly has excellent form lines coming into this race, which includes a placing behind the Magic Millions winner.
She finished second behind Away Game last start, which looks a superstar in the making, and Centimental is the class runner of this field.
Punters will likely have to take short odds.
Race 2. (14:20) Hyland Race Colours Maiden (1100m)
#3 – Mensa Missile – Bet Now
The Waterhouse/Bott team lines up the three-year-old gelding that owns two trial wins coming into this race.
He’s a son of Smart Missile that has shown good barrier speed during its trials campaign and this stable usually gets them ready to fire.
Tim Clark is the best front-running jockey in Australia and that bodes well.
Race 3. (14:55) Sky Racing Active BM70 (1400m)
#6 – Betty Blooms – Bet Now
Punters need to keep the faith with Betty Blooms, which has shown good ability throughout her career.
The Ron Quinton-trained mare hasn’t been herself in two runs back from a spell but she showed enough ability early on to be a threat here.
Drawing barrier four is ideal and she’s well-weighted to score.
Race 4. (15:30) Holler @ Darley Maiden (1400m)
#6 – Shuhood – Bet Now
Shuhood improved considerably to run second at Warwick Farm last start and a maiden win won’t be far away.
The three-year-old filly finished second behind a nice type and she has since run second in a recent trial at Randwick. That performance holds her in good stead for this and she only needs luck from the draw.
This is a tough field but bookmakers should give punters each-way odds.
Race 5. (16:05) TAB BM76 (1800m)
#1 – Mugatoo – Bet Now
Mugatoo is a European import which made a quick impression in Australia when scoring at Randwick.
The Kris Lees-trained five-year-old won by a narrow margin and he picked them up late in the straight. It was a good effort for a runner having its first try since July.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and he’s good enough to kick on with it.
Race 6. (16:40) Star Turn @ Vinery BM70 (1400m)
#5 – The Man – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the five-year-old gelding that has a win and three placings from only six career starts.
The son of I Am Invincible broke maiden grades three starts back at Canterbury before returning to form when second on this track last start.
It’s good to see Hugh Bowman in the saddle and we’re expecting another strong each-way effort.
Race 7. (17:15) Bisley Workwear BM70 (1550m)
#9 – Sea of Life – Bet Now
We’re sticking with Sea of Life after the John O’Shea-trained runner was able to score a narrow maiden win last start. He does make the rise in class but gets in better on the weights and it was a gutsy effort just to break maiden grades.
It’s another good ride for Hugh Bowman and from barrier four, he should be able to settle the son of Sebring into a good spot.
Race 8. (17:50) Heineken 3 BM70 (1000m)
#3 – Human Nature – Bet Now
Human Nature is a quality type which struggled last start but that came against much stronger opposition than what he faces here.
He ran last behind Cosmic Force, but prior to that he finished second behind November Man at Randwick. He boasts strong form guides and he only needs luck to go well.
Punters could get nice odds on race day.
