Randwick horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:55) Bushfire Appeal BM74 (1000m)

#5 – Aquitaine – Bet Now

Looking for her fourth consecutive win is Aquitaine. The James Cummings-trained filly got up right on the line to score at Randwick last time out.

Her wins have been coming over quality fields and there’s no reason why she couldn’t win again.

Drawing barrier eight isn’t ideal but she likes to settle just off the pace and kick strongly in the straight.

Race 2. (13:30) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1200m)

#14 – Healing Hands – Bet Now

Healing Hands is a lightly-tried runner of only four runs and he has won two of them.

The son of I Am Invincible showed little at Randwick last start but he didn’t pull up all too well.

He looked much better when winning by 4.3 lengths at Dubbo and although this is harder, he has plenty of upside.

Race 3. (14:05) Bisley Workwear BM94 (1200m)

#4 – Special Reward – Bet Now

Special Reward was good enough to score four consecutive wins last campaign, which came in easier races.

The four-year-old is now with Kris Lees and although beaten when sixth last start, he was only two lengths behind the winner.

His trial form leading into this race has been excellent. He scored by two lengths at Wyong before winning by 3.5 lengths at Newcastle.

He looks a good winning chance here.

Race 4. (14:40) January Cup (2000m)

#1 – Luvaluva @ $2.45 – Bet Now

Luvaluva returned to form when winning at Randwick by 2.8 lengths and that form looks good for this race.

John Sargent and punters have been patient with the five-year-old mare. She hadn’t won for a long time but she returned to form in fine fashion.

Facing a small field might not help her chances but she’s tough to get against in this situation.

Race 5. (15:15) Ranvet Handicap (1500m)

#1 – White Boots – Bet Now

White Boots needs a confidence boost and this could be the race to regain that confidence.

The Kim Waugh-trained five-year-old is a professional winner of seven from 21 starts and that includes 10 placings.

He’s a son of Animal Kingdom needs to bounce back after running ninth at Randwick last start but the fitness is only going to help his cause.

He should prove tough to beat here.

Race 6. (15:55) Tab Venue Mode BM70 (1600m)

#8 – Rocha Clock – Bet Now

Rocha Clock tarnished her unbeaten record when finishing second behind Mr Dependable last start.

The three-year-old didn’t travel like the winner throughout the race but the pace of the race didn’t suit her racing pattern.

Her wins prior to that were top quality and with only 54.5kg on her back, she should be tough to hold out.

We’re expecting plenty of money to come for Rocha Clock come race day.

Race 7. (16:35) Schweppes BM78 (1500m)

#10 – Pinup Miss – Bet Now

Pinup Miss has the potential to rise through the grades and she showed that when scoring at Newcastle three starts back.

The four-year-old returned to good form when running second at Randwick last start behind Spencer and she gets things in her favour for this run.

Drawing barrier two is ideal and with only 55.5kg on her back, that should bring her right into contention.

Each-way odds should be on offer.

Race 8. (17:20) Heineken 3 BM88 (1400m)

#13 – Charretera – Bet Now

Charretera is a danger right down in the weights and he is in consistent form coming into this race.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained four-year-old has won only two of her 13 starts but has nine placings on her record.

There is nothing wrong with her form and punters could be getting value odds.

Race 9. (18:00) Sky Racing Active BM78 (1800m)

#7 – Mr Dependable – Bet Now

It was a stylish win from Mr Dependable at Randwick and he could continue kick on with it now.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, the four-year-old has won three of his five starts and he defeated a talented field last start.

He got the better of Rocha Clock and if she wins earlier in the day, his odds are only going to shorten.
