Randwick horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:20) ATC Thanks Stable Staff BM72 (1300m)
#4 – Seleque – Bet @ Sportsbet
Chris Waller lines up the three-year-old filly that owns three wins and five placings from 10 starts, so her record speaks for itself.
The daughter of Deep Field gets every chance off the inside draw, and despite facing a tough field here, she has plenty of upside.
Punters should get each-way odds on race day.
Race 2. (11:55) Tab Highway C3 Handicap (1200m)
#12 – Very Sharp – Bet @ Sportsbet
Very Sharp didn’t do much wrong when third at Scone last start and she looked better when winning by a length prior to that.
The Rod Northam-trained daughter of Bull Point has been in the money in eight of her 10 career starts and we’re expecting another tidy effort on Saturday.
Barrier 13 makes it tough, but she could settle back and finish off strongly.
Race 3. (12:30) Thanks Frontline Workers BM78 (1800m)
#2 – La Chevalee – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Maher/Eustace-trained mare scored an overdue win at Randwick last start and she’s capable of going back-to-back.
She won by two lengths against a similar field and the 2kg claim brings her into contention once again. She now has her confidence levels up and barrier three is ideal.
Punters should expect short odds on race day.
Race 4. (13:05) The Agency Real Estate BM78 (1800m)
#5 – Mr Gee – Bet @ Sportsbet
Mr Gee comes off back-to-back wins at Canterbury and Randwick, so we’re sticking with the form runner of the field.
The three-year-old didn’t show much early on, but he has come alive recently and he’s capable of handling this field.
The son of All Too Hard gets every chance off an inside draw and punters will get each-way odds to enjoy.
Race 5. (13:40) Midway BM72 (1300m)
#6 – Zorocat – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old daughter of Toronado scored nicely at Randwick last start and the improved track conditions won’t do her any harm.
She has yet to run worse than third from two starts at Randwick and she hasn’t finished worse than second at the distance.
It’s an even betting field and she should be tough to beat off the inside draw.
Race 6. (14:15) ATC Thank You Owners BM78 (1500m)
#10 – Think Free – Bet @ Sportsbet
Think Free is a professional six-time winner that scored impressively three starts back before adding back-to-back placings to her record.
She scored at her only start at the distance and she finished second at her only Randwick start, which came last start behind Vitesse.
It should be a good form guide for this level of racing and it’s another good ride for Jason Collett.
Race 7. (14:50) Moet & Chandon BM88 (1400m)
#6 – Le Gai Soleil – Bet @ Sportsbet
John O’Shea lines up the four-year-old mare that looks to have a bright future and she should bounce back to form on Saturday.
She owns five wins from 11 starts and three of them have come at this distance. Her last two efforts have been below par, but the talent is there and she adds to Jason Collett’s premium book of rides.
A betting push on race day would be a good sign.
Race 8. (15:30) Precise Air BM72 (1000m)
#8 – Miss Dior – Bet @ Sportsbet
Miss Dior scored three consecutive wins last campaign and her effort to finish second at Randwick fresh up was a good sign.
The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained mare finished 1.8 lengths behind Our Bellagio Miss last start and we like those form lines.
Barrier three is ideal and the odds should be attractive.
Race 9. (16:10) Fujitsu General BM88 (1100m)
#6 – Our Bellagio Miss – Bet @ Sportsbet
The four-year-old mare has rattled off consecutive wins at Rosehill and Randwick. She defeated Miss Dior last start, so that should be a good form guide.
She is a six-time winner from 20 starts and she owns two wins from three attempts at Randwick. That is a good statistic to have in her favour and drawing the inside barrier is ideal.
Expect another top effort.
Race 10. (16:50) ATC Thank You Trainers BM78 (1300m)
#5 – Snitzify – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Snowden-trained gelding is having his first start at Randwick and he comes off a tidy third placing in a trial at Randwick.
He is a four-year-old son of Snitzel that owns four wins from 14 starts, so he’s rarely too far away and having Hugh Bowman in the saddle is ideal.
Look for each-way odds from bookmakers.
