First race in 18h 3m Spring racing is the flavour of the day in Sydney, where some Saturday class runners’ line up on the seven-race card. Following the big stables and jockeys is our best betting strategy, particularly the likes of James McDonald, Tim Clark, and Zac Lloyd, who are set to fight it out for the jockey challenge. Conditions are ideal (Good 4), so every runner will get their chance.
Race 1. (13:35) Tropicus at Vinery Stud Maiden (1800m)
#10 - Stitzer @ $2.50

Stitzer is an interesting runner for the O’Shea/Charlton stable, who failed to fire when running last at Kembla Grange as a favourite.
The three-year-old colt should bounce back, especially if his first preparation form is anything to go by, including a fourth at listed level by Diameter.
There is some risk involved with him, but the market confidence is telling.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (14:10) Inglis Xtra Bonus Maiden (1550m)
#8 - Bechers @ $5.00

The three-year-old filly wasn’t too far behind them on debut at Newcastle, and she has been specked in betting markets.
She finished only two lengths behind the winner, and getting the inside draw with 54kg on her back should take her close.
$5 is a fair price, and it could firm on race day.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (14:45) Racing and Sports Maiden (1150m)
#7 - Low Key @ $1.85

Low Key is low key a good bet on Wednesday, and the $1.85 odds could firm to an unbackable price.
The three-year-old filly by Pinatubo opened at $3.10, which lasted all of two minutes, and it’s because she ran behind Blue Door and The Next Episode on debut.
That’s a top form guide, and her recent trial win should have her ready to produce the goods.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 4. (15:20) Tab BM72 (1800m)
#4 - Anthracite @ $3.20

Anthracite is nearing an overdue win after some stellar placings behind the likes of Aethelwulf and King of the Sea.
That is excellent form for midweek racing at Randwick-Kensington, and although there are some nice types in this field, he’s the best of them.
Take the $3.20 odds before late money comes for him.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 5. (15:55) Irresistible Pool & Spas BM72 (1550m)
#6 - Pierata's Gem @ $5.00

We’re taking the each-way odds for Pierata’s Gem, who comes off a good second placing at Canterbury.
The five-year-old mare by Pierata can be tough to follow at the best of times, having posted only three wins from 23 starts, but she’s never too far away.
Barrier three with Tommy Berry riding adds to her winning claims.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 6. (16:30) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (1250m)
#7 - Regal Problem @ $2.45

Looking to post back-to-back wins is Regal Problem, who turned her form around with a quality performance at Gosford.
The four-year-old daughter of Endless Drama got the better of Wanda’s Spark, which is a nice type, so it’s a good form guide.
Strong bets have come for her, so include her in multis.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 7. (17:05) Asahi Super Dry BM72 (1250m)
#10 - Siragusa @ $9.00

The odds for Siragusa are better than expected, and he could return from a spell with a big effort.
The four-year-old son of I Am Invincible didn’t fire in two runs since losing the rider, but they came in tough races, so we’re forgiving those efforts.
The inside draw is ideal, so snap up the $9 odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
