Randwick horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:50) All Too Hard @ Vinery Maiden (1100m)
#7 – Narvaez – Bet Now
The form of Narvaez isn’t as impressive as others, but he’s better than his form suggests. He ran seventh behind Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa on debut before running behind Aim.
It’s strong form lines for this race and he has since been primed with a trial win. That came over Acrophobic, which has since made a winning debut.
Expect him to head forward with Tim Clark in the saddle.
Race 2. (13:25) Blue Point @ Darley BM66 (1100m)
#3 – Frosty Rocks – Bet Now
Frosty Rocks scored a comfortable win at Warwick Farm last start and he could kick on with it now.
The Bjorn Baker-trained three-year-old won by over a length and he was heavily backed in the moments leading up to that race.
Punters are likely to come for him again and he’s worth sticking with against the small field. Kerrin McEvoy should find a good spot in running.
Race 3. (14:00) Ranvet Salkavite BM70 (1100m)
#9 – Spaceboy – Bet Now
Gary Portelli lines up the talented gelding that scored a long overdue win last start. It came at his 10th start and punters finally got the chocolates.
He won by 2.8 lengths at Kembla Grange and although there’s more depth to this race, he should be able to measure up well.
He owns two placings from two starts at Randwick, so he’s worth sticking with.
Race 4. (14:35) Sky Racing Active BM66 (1550m)
#6 – Blueant – Bet Now
Blueant didn’t get all favours last start but he could get the better of Money Magic this time around.
The three-year-old by Smart Missile has yet to run worse than third from four career starts, so he’s made a consistent start to his career.
He meets a tough field but punters should be able to get each-way odds and he represents value.
Race 5. (15:10) Vale Caryl Williamson BM70 (1400m)
#7 – Archanna – Bet Now
Archanna couldn’t have been more impressive when winning on debut. The Chris Waller-trained filly defied a betting drift when winning by 3.8 lengths.
She drifted from an odds-on quote to $6.80, but she’s not going to do that again. She has overcome a minor injury and she should be ready to fire again.
It’s good to see James McDonald sticking with her and she could be Saturday class.
Race 6. (15:45) Heineken 3 BM70 (1300m)
#10 – Baanone – Bet Now
Baanone is fresh up having not raced since January and he could make a winning return. The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding owns four wins from 19 starts, so he’s capable of taking this out.
The son of Shocking has been primed with a trial placing at Warwick Farm and he could run better than expected.
Punters will get juicy odds with bookmakers and this race is there for an upset result. He could be the one to provide that.
Race 7. (16:20) Tab BM74 (1550m)
#2 – Zaunkonig – Bet Now
The Freedman-trained gelding is consistent and he’s knocking on the door after three consecutive placings.
He finished second at Tamworth fresh up and he often runs well second-up. It bodes well for a good run and although others might be faster, he always puts his best foot forward.
Punters will get good odds and he’s worth backing on an each-way basis.
