Belle Detelle has class on her side, and we expect the four-year-old mare to come back better with the break under her belt.
She has experience in big races, and this isn’t an overly tough field to open the card, so we expect the Chris Waller-trained mare to take advantage.
Punters should expect shortening odds.

Manwari was good enough to score three consecutive wins earlier this prep, and trainer Danny Williams has a good record in the Highways.
The four-year-old son of Menari comes off a disappointing fourth at Goulburn, but he should enjoy being at the bigger track at Randwick.
We’re happy with the each-way odds available.
Stake: 1 Unit
Jellicious deserves another shot at Saturday company after posting three consecutive wins at the midweeks.
The Waller-trained mare has been afforded the opportunity of facing easier fields to get her confidence levels up, and they should be sky high.
We expect her to be fighting out the finish on Saturday.

It was a good effort from Vetwelve to finish second behind Modello last time out, and he will only appreciate the fitness.
John Sargent knows how to get his runners up for big races, and although it’s only a Midway, it’s one of the better recent editions.
It’s a tough field, but he should be right around the mark.

Seeking back-to-back wins is United Kingdom, who was impressive when winning at Rosehill with 57kg last time out.
The five-year-old son of Almanzor should improve with that win under his belt, and getting in with 55kg makes him even harder to beat.
He has been primed with a trial, and he looks ready to show his best.
Stake: 2 Units
Winning form belongs to Brave One, who ended last preparation with wins at Randwick and Rosehill.
The Hawkes-trained owns three wins and two placings from seven starts overall, and he’s unbeaten in two starts at the track.
That is tough to look past, so we’re putting him clearly on top in a tough race.

Wootten Verni is a good chance to go back-to-back after scoring at Caulfield, and that form should hold up well in the Rosehill Gold Cup.
The Waller-trained import needed a few runs to find his feet in Australia, and getting in with 54.5kg should make him tough to hold out.
He loves the distance with three wins, so it’s his pet distance.

Gunning for three consecutive wins is Golden Straand, who scored at Rosehill and Warwick Farm.
The Matthew Smith-trained runner makes his track debut at Randwick, but it should suit his running style, and it gives him time to find cover from the draw.
There isn’t much over this field, and he should give punters a good sight.
