Randwick horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:40) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1000m)

#11 – Nadaraja @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Nadaraja is shooting for three consecutive wins after scoring at Scone by 5.8 lengths last start, which was an incredible effort.

The three-year-old son of Redoute’s Choice looks to have a bright future and we wouldn’t be overlooking his chances.

Most of the early money has come for the favourite.

Race 2. (12:15) Peachester Shoot Out Mile BM88 (1600m)

#4 – Bigboyroy @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Bigboyroy is getting close to a win after three solid efforts this preparation, including a third placing at Randwick last start.

The Chris Waller-trained five-year-old owns four wins, so he has class on his side, and his best racing comes over this distance.

James McDonald rides off the inside draw.

Race 3. (12:50) Midway BM72 (1600m)

#10 – Canyonero @ $12 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Canyonero is being specked at a price following a fourth at Gosford. He’s good enough to win at this level, and his third placing at Randwick two back is a good betting guide.

After opening at $14, his odds have firmed into $12, which is a solid betting move at double figures.

We wouldn’t be leaving him out of calculations.

Race 4. (13:25) The Agency BM78 (1400m)

#9 – Super Effort @ $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Super Effort hasn’t done much wrong this preparation after scoring two wins and two second placings.

The four-year-old gelding was only 1.5 lengths behind the winner last start after giving the winner 7.5kg. That is a sizable advantage, so dropping in weight is ideal.

Punters should enjoy the each-way odds available.

Race 5. (14:00) Bill Ritchie Handicap (1400m)

#11 – Atishu @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Atishu got miles too far back last start and having Tim Clark riding shouldn’t do her chances any harm.

She is a classy New Zealand mare who showed a fine turn-of-foot fresh up before making up steady ground last time out.

53.5kg on her back is ideal and she should firm into favouritism.

Race 6. (14:40) Darley Tea Rose Stakes (1400m)

#3 – She’s All Class @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

She’s All Class didn’t have everything go her fresh up and we’re expecting a better effort this time around.

The three-year-old was only 1.9 lengths behind the winner in a blanket finish, so it was a better run than it looked.

Having James McDonald in the saddle is a bonus, so put her on top.

Race 8. (15:55) Bowermans Furniture The Shorts (1100m)

#1 – Nature Strip @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Money is coming for Rothfire, but Nature Strip is already fit and he scored with ease last time out.

The Waller-trained superstar can be a touch average second-up, but he has the class edge on this field and he loves this distance.

$2.35 is a good price for one of the best sprinters in the world.

Race 9. (16:35) Tab Kingston Town Stakes (2000m)

#14 – She’s Ideel @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

She’s Ideel looks set for a big race after running third behind Mo’unga fresh up and then running seventh behind Think It Over.

She should get every chance in this company, and carrying 53kg on her back is a steal. She’s Ideel loves Randwick and there are big things set for this six-year-old.

Race 10. (17:15) Heineken BM88 (1100m)

#12 – Equation @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Equation owns four wins from five starts, and although his form has come in easier field, he demands attention.

The four-year-old won at Canterbury two starts back before winning again at Canberra last start, which came against a tidy field.

He could be a nice type for the future, so keep safe.
