Randwick Racing Tips for Saturday, September 5th 2026

Dusty Bay showed good speed as a youngster, and although he’s not as consistent now, his win three back at Warwick Farm was good.

His runs since have included a last-start placing at Randwick, and with James McDonald climbing into the saddle, that could make a difference.

Look for him to settle handy and give a good kick.

Stake: 1 Unit

Boasting an unbeaten record is Lord Remlap, who looked good when winning all three races last preparation.

The four-year-old son of Star Turn won at Randwick last time out by a short margin, but that was a tough effort to score.

He’s unbeaten in two trials since, so he looks ready to make a winning return.

Stake: 1 Unit

Ernaux is starting to show why he fetched over $1 million at the yearling sales after posting a win and two placings from his last three starts.

The Chris Waller-trained mare won well at Randwick two back before placing behind Sovereign Hill, and that form should hold up well.

It’s not a tough field here, and it’s another good ride for McDonald.

Stake: 1.5 Units

After opening at $2, there hasn’t been much money for Thebudgiesmugla, but we think he’s the best stayer in the race.

The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding owns seven wins from 14 starts, and he battled on gamely over 2000m last start, which was a big effort.

He’s better suited up to 2400m, where he is unbeaten in five attempts.

Stake: 2 Units

We’re taking the each-way odds for Call Me Gorgeous, who didn’t have much luck when running eighth last time out.

However, his first-up effort was good, and he ran quick sectionals to close off the race after getting too far back in the run.

Barrier 15 will see him settle back, but he could unleash late.

Stake: 1 Unit

We were keen on Bangkok Hottie to win last start, and she didn’t do much wrong when running second behind Pembrey.

The winner was good, but Bangkok Hottie ran slick sectionals to make ground for second, and she’s not getting the credit she deserves for that peroformance.

The $10 odds are generous, so she’s a good each-way play.

Stake: 1 Unit

We loved the run of Idle Flyer in the Winx Stakes last start, and this is an easier target.

The five-year-old mare is a gun second-up runner, having posted four wins from four starts, and she could remain perfect.

Barrier three is ideal, and she should push forward and be tough to run down.

Stake: 2 Units

Tempted could well be the best Australian sprinter, and she’ll give Ka Ying Rising some opposition in The Everest.

She owns seven wins and four placings from 12 starts, including five wins at Randwick, and her only defeat was a second placing behind Ka Ying Rising.

She’s a slick sprinter, and we’re happy with the short odds.

Stake: 2.5 Units

It could pay to overlook the Winx Stakes run of Fangirl, who didn’t jump well and was impeded in the run.

The Chris Waller-trained mare is classy at her best, and it’s good seeing James McDonald taking the ride, which gives us confidence.

Money has come for her, and it could be well-placed.

Stake: 1 Unit

We’re taking the each-way odds for The Mona Lisa, who has come of age this preparation with three gutsy wins.

She held off a smart type last time out at Randwick, and she makes her own luck in the run, which is always a good asset.

55kg on her back is ideal, so expect a top effort.

Stake: 1 Unit
