Rosehill horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (11:20) Tab Highway C3 (1300m)
#4 – Daksha @ $11 – Bet @ Bet365
Daksha is getting close to returning to winning form following a placing at Tamworth and having James McDonald riding helps.
The six-year-old son of Deep Field placed at his only start at Rosehill, so having experience on the track helps.
Take the $11 as it’s a good price.
Race 2. (11:55) Dooleys BM72 (1300m)
#6 – Waverider Buoy @ $3.80 – Bet @ Bet365
Waverider Buoy did enough when finishing third last start to warrant attention and we’re sticking with her.
The three-year-old filly for Chris Waller looked good when winning at Warwick Farm and we think that form stacks up nicely.
Bowman rides at 55.5kg and she should be tough to beat.
Race 3. (12:30) Midway BM72 (1400m)
#6 – Nictock @ $7 – Bet @ Bet365
Nictock looked good when running second at Rosehill last time out and that form has merit.
Despite being a nine-year-old, the son of Nicconi still has plenty of ability and he’s getting close to winning on the track.
Punters should take the each-way odds available.
Race 4. (13:05) Cabramatta Bowling Club BM88 (1200m)
#6 – Conscript @ $2.40 – Bet @ Bet365
Conscript was too classy for them last time out when scoring at Randwick in heavy conditions.
The five-year-old son of Time for War owns six wins and five placings from 15 starts, so he’s always around the mark.
Getting 1.5kg off his back makes him worth backing.
Race 5. (13:40) Campbelltown Catholic BM78 (1400m)
#5 – Frumos @ $2 – Bet @ Bet365
Frumos is unbeaten after three starts, including a last-start win at Rosehill by 2.3 lengths.
The Waller-trained five-year-old looks like a nice type in the making and we’re not surprised by the short odds available.
It’s another good ride for Bowman.
Race 6. (14:15) Bankstown Sports Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Mugatoo @ $6.50 – Bet @ Bet365
Mugatoo has to carry a mammoth weight but the Kris Lees-trained runner has the significant class edge.
The eight-year-old owns nine wins from 21 starts and $3.4 million in the bank, so despite carrying 62kg, his class takes him close.
Punters get lovely odds to enjoy.
Race 7. (14:55) Canterbury Hurlstone BM78 (1800m)
#2 – Elusive Jewel @ $4.60 – Bet @ Bet365
Elusive Jewel won nicely last time out at Rosehill and she should be tough to beat again.
The five-year-old mare has yet to finish worse than second in three starts at Rosehill and that’s tough to ignore.
Take the each-way odds available as they could firm on race day.
Race 8. (15:35) Smithfield RSL Rosebud (1100m)
#5 – Kibou @ $2.90 – Bet @ Bet365
Kibou won at Warwick Farm fresh up and followed it up with a one-length win at Rosehill.
There is plenty to like about that form and the three-year-old son of Maurice has since won a trial at Randwick.
He looks ready to fire and the odds are worth taking.
Race 9. (16:15) Club NSW BM78 (1400m)
#5 – Canasta @ $10 – Bet @ Bet365
Canasta didn’t fire fresh up but he always improves with a run under his belt.
The Bjorn Baker-trained seven-year-old has had five second-up starts for two wins and two second placings.
He hasn’t been respected in betting markets but we’ll take the odds.
Race 10. (16:55) Guildford Leagues BM78 (1100m)
#5 – Shades of Rose @ $1.60 – Bet @ Bet365
Shades of Rose was far too good for them last time out at Rosehill and we’re not surprised by the short odds available.
The four-year-old mare owns four wins from six starts and she could have easily been unbeaten with a touch more luck.
There will be a lot of multis running through her in the last race.
