Rosehill horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:50) Sky Racing Active BM72 (1500m)
#2 – Dancing Gidget @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Dancing Gidget has hit top gear this preparation with back-to-back wins. The Chris Waller-trained mare won at Randwick by 2.3 lengths two back before winning by a length last start.
Her turn-of-foot has been impressive and we’re not surprised to see her run as favourite for this contest.
James McDonald rides and that adds to the appeal.
Race 2. (12:25) Everest Carnival On Sale BM78 (1500m)
#4 – Royal Banquet @ $2.65 – Bet Now
Royal Banquet stormed home to win by 5.3 lengths at Warwick Farm last start and he deserves a chance against Saturday-level opposition.
The Nathan Doyle-trained four-year-old made it four consecutive victories and he has made quite an impression to start his career.
He could be a star in the making and he is worth following.
Race 3. (13:00) Tab Highway C3 Plate (1800m)
#13 – Total Recall @ $5 – Bet Now
Paul Messara lines up the four-year-old gelding that has finished out of the money in only one of his five starts.
The son of Animal Kingdom is coming off a 2.8-length win at Scone and there is plenty to like about that form going forward.
$5 is a good price and his odds could firm throughout the week.
Race 4. (13:35) De Bortoli Wines BM88 (1200m)
#5 – Heart of the Oak @ $2.35 – Bet Now
Heart of the Oak looked good winning three consecutive races before facing tough company her last two races.
The Gerald Ryan-trained mare ran behind the likes of Probabeel and Rubisaki, which is much better form than what she faces here.
Carrying a light weight is ideal and she should be tough to hold out.
Race 5. (14:15) Clubnsw Western Metro BM78 (2400m)
#7 – Guise @ $10 – Bet Now
Guise runs at value odds and although she hasn’t won in some time, that could all change on Saturday.
The Waller-trained five-year-old looked good when running second at Rosehill in June and a repeat effort would take her close here.
It’s not the strongest field and with 55.5kg on her back, she should run well.
Race 6. (14:55) Schweppes Rosebud Stakes (1100m)
#4 – Kumasi @ $3.90 – Bet Now
Gerald Ryan lines up the three-year-old colt which scored on debut before running second behind Prague.
The son of Snitzel has been primed with a recent trial placing at Rosehill and there is good betting support coming his way.
Look for a positive betting move on race day.
Race 7. (15:35) Iron Jack Missile Stakes (1200m)
#4 – Melody Belle @ $3.70 – Bet Now
The Kiwi mare is all class and she could kick off her fresh campaign in fine style. She is a 15-time winner from 30 starts and she demands respect in this race.
Trained by Jamie Richards, the daughter of Commands won a trial at Randwick to prepare and it should hold her in good stead.
Punters are getting value odds and she could firm on race day.
Race 8. (16:15) Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 (1200m)
#10 – Tailleur @ $2.05 – Bet Now
Tailleur didn’t handle the track last time out and punters should forgive that effort. Prior to that, she scored back-to-back wins and was impressive in doing so.
The James Cummings-trained four-year-old gets in with only 54kg on her back and punters have come for her.
She opened at $2.10 and has firmed into $2.05, which is a solid move.
Race 9. (16:55) Tab BM78 (1200m)
#9 – Valdostana @ $4 – Bet Now
Team Hawkes lines up the talented four-year-old mare that has finished in the first two in five of her six starts.
The daughter of Snitzel was the beaten odds-on favourite last start but she has the ability to turn that defeat around.
With 54kg on her back, punters are getting value odds at the $4 quote.
